need soil abvise

Ok. Guys this is my first grow and am doing a small grow in a computer desk I'm growing some autoberry feminized low rider and am wondering will the super soil potting mix at home depot be good enough for seedling and adult plant will i have to add any perilte or anything to this soil to be succesfull am trying to keep cost low so bear with me also what other stuff will i need like nutrients and so forth I know I need a ph meter for watering and so forth any. And all advise will welcome :joint:

thanks for they reply a bit on the late side though im in the final phase of flowering on my auto did add perilte to the soil and worked out great just need to invest in some not as consentrated nutes other than miracle grow it burns like a bitch

yea ive read also from the web site to feed once every 7 to 14 days with the nutes i burned the hell out of my plants but im not blaming mg at all i acutally want to reuse it now because everyone seems to bad talk mg and i dont think they deserve the bashing

^Agreed. Not once have I seen people complain about MG fert, lacking anything. I always hear "OMFG, it burnt the hell out of them!"lol, and never a complaint about deficiencies. Um,..what does that tell ya? You're using too much, obviously. For less than $5, it's a great bargain, and combined with some epsoms(cheap, also), can work great.

The soil works well too, except for a fungus gnat problem, I've had with it. That could be my specific area, and the fact that it was stored outside all year long, then purchased in the fall. Anyway, add some perlite, and it works excellent, should you lucky enough to not get fungus gnats.

well i bought some more soil to transplant into bigger pots and thows bastereds were in it how great ive been fighting these things for about 2 weeks now

My grow was created using MG soil, along with composted material. You can click on the link and see that the three ladies I have are doing just fine in a MG soil. They have also been fed MG 20-20-20 during veg and MG Bloom 15-30-15 during flowering. All three are healthy and growing strong. While you could use other more expensive mediums and fertilizers and perhaps do better, using MG is a great way to get started in growing. And its cheap!
