Need some advice on my seedlings

It's my first grow and I would like to get some feedback. My plan is to keep about 8 seedlings. Now the question comes up which ones to keep. These are 20 random seeds which I collected over the last year, so I expect males. Btw it's day 12, and in my opinion they are a bit slow, what you think? They seem a bit weak to me.. I already thought about transplanting them in 1 to 3 days but they are still so small after 2 weeks? I had some issues with the right humidity and temp at the beginning but now it's always at around 45 to 50 % and about 26celcius.

Whoa! That's a lot of seedlings for a first grow. I'd have started with 4 and keep the two females and then learned that way before I went too far!

Anyway. You're definitely off to the races. What's the rest of your setup look like? If you're keeping 8 plants, then you're going to need a pretty big tent and a substantial lighting setup. You're going to want to get your humidity up a little bit. Ideal is about 55% from what I've found.

Tell us the rest of your setup.

So far, the seedlings look pretty good. Too soon to tell which ones to keep. Like I said, wait until they sex and then only keep the females. IF you're collecting random bag seeds, then you're bound to have some males in there.

Good luck!

Thanks for the fast reply, I'm using a 600w but it runs on only 50 percent rn. I have a 1.2x1.2meter tent. Yeah I definetily planted way too many seeds for this size of a tent but I wanted to practice since I would never use those seeds anyways. (next time I'll get some feminized) anyway, what do you think about transplanting them, I feel like due to their stop of growth, they are maybe ready for new pots? I can already see roots at the bottom, and i think maybe it's a good idea to transplant before they build too much root mass at the bottom, cheers!

You could let them go a little longer in the cups you're using now. The problem is, this early, you don't know what you have yet. Odds are, 50% of your seedlings are female, but which 50%? You run the risk of transplanting all males, and then your whole experiment is for nothing.

True, but don't I would have to transplant them anyways before being able to identify their sex cause they need to grow for 6 weeks before sex shows? I mean, I can't keep them in this small pots until they are mature anyways.. But they somehow stopped growing since 2 days and that's when the roots at the bottom appeared
