Hello RIU members,
The Seeds
The seeds are a Feminized Autoflower of the same strain.
The back story
So I harvested my first plant and decided to plant another one. Problem was, the first seed I tried germinating was a dud (as expected as there were a few cracks in the seed). I then attempted to germinate another and waited 48 hrs (paper towel method). Nothing happened. So... I plopped another one to germinate. 24 hours later, the second seed showed a taproot so I popped it into the pot. At this point I was kinda hoping the 3rd one wouldn't germinate. 24 hours passed and the third seed didn't show a tap root but I left it in the paper towel just because I didn't really have anything to lose.
Over the next day, the third seed popped out a tap root. I think to my self, "Oh shit, I only have room for 1 plant/pot" so I just threw some soil into a small pot (as you will see in the pictures) and let it grow.
At this point, the one in the big pot is about 3 days older than the one in the small pot. I let it do its thing.
Over both pots, I have a 90w LED UFO and under the big pot, I also have a 6500k 23w CFL bulb hanging about 2 inches over it.
5 days passed and they both sprouted.
The problem
In the end, I really only have room for 1 plant and the younger one (by 3 days) in the small pot looks like its doing a lot better than the one in the big pot.
Now I'm not sure if I should just let them both grow out while keeping their original pots or if I should transplant the one in the small pot to the big pot and just chuck the small one out.
As you see, the one in the small pot is doing a lot better although it is 3 days younger than her sister sitting there in the bigger pot.
Now what do I do? Is the main question.
