Need some expert or atleast experianced help with my idea please

ok me and my partner are wanting to go from soil to aero currently we are growing the following strains
1. Violator Kush
2. White widow
3. Big band(could be dropped due to low quanity)
4. Ak- 48

we do 2 clones on each per 5gal bucket and average 3oz per plant of nice buds under CFLs

we want to keep the CFL's

OUR QUESTIONS

our current GS is 4sqft for both our veg and flower area we want to use a tote aero DIY idea but we need to know if we can fit 8 plants in a normal tote and still get atleast the 3oz per plant?

and last what is the best cost effective nuets we can get our hands on( this im sure will have alot of opinions but we can handle that lol.

THE MAIN QUESTION IS HOW MANY PLANTS CAN WE PUT IN A NORMAL WALLY WORLD TOTE?

Indoorkush: If you're already growing a plant successfully in dirt the first thing I have to ask is why try to transplant it to Aero? I'm no expert, but I have seen plants started in hydro go to dirt and the danger there is damaging the tiny root hairs that have formed when you transplant them into even in the softest of soils.

It seems to me that reversing the process would be equally dangerous. You're going to have to scrub those roots from a plant started in dirt squeaky clean and have one hefty filter on your pump's intake or you're going to plug up your spray heads on the aero system.

Now, if I haven't rained all over your parade, please let me suggest you let that plant continue to grow in dirt and then clone its off springs to the aeroponics system. It seems to me that would be the simplest way to go about it. The reason I'm suggesting it is because recently I had the same choice and that's what I'm doing right now. It seems to be working out okay. I hope that helps. HSA

I have a 10 gal tote with 3 holes with 5" net pods If you are growing large plants I would not go with more than 4 per 10 gal tote.If your just doing clones you could possibly have 8.

hey hsa i want to start clones in hydro and cont. my strains i just made a new one which is :leaf:

purple haze x with the violator kush :weed:

. but we just want to try hydro cuz we have herd it can increase yield and mature em faster. but we have decided to stay with what we know SOIL lol and thanx to slayerfan for your advice but we do grow BIG plants and if we cant match the 8 we grow then there is no point in switch. we average 1lb every 1.5months to 2 months cuz of the strains but we are the main supplier to our area (SID) so we cant cut short unless we wanna invest in :sad:
