Okay, so I'm 19 days from seed into my first indoor grow. This is under a 600w hps enhanced spectrum bulb. I have a few concerns I'd love some help with. This is in FF happy frog with 30% perlite added. Just started ferting with FF Grow Big yesturday. PH is 6.8, RH is 38% Temp 79f

1) First how is the size looking for 19 days?

2)Two of the plants is very light green in color. The new growth looks a bit darker after adding the fert, but the lower leaves have some dead/burnt spots on the very tips and some of the edges. What might be causing this?

First pic is of the plant with burnt tips..this is my largest concern. Second is to give an idea of the size. Thanks in advance guys. I know you'll have answers!

it might be over watering or not letting the soil dry out between waterings. and for size be patient bro, by stressing the plant may result in slower or stunt growth. just my 2c

Looks like N deficiency. Add more everything.
Happy Frog doesn't have alot of nutrients in it, so you'll need to start adding liquids pretty quick. Especially if it is dry and they are drinking often.

I'll post up some new pics....the yellowing is starting at the outside of the older leaves and progressing inward towards the stem. the dead tips and dead spots on the margins are pointing upward....from my reading this could be Mg deficient? I'm not really freaking out, more jsut frustrated, but I know I can always just get more seeds haha not the end of the world, but I'd love to figure this out, and I enjoy learning how to fix problems, I'm new to INDOOR...seems a bit touchier to me, but alot more fun. Thanks alot for the help guys!

Note: this is supposed to be their sleeping time and I just watered so they are droopy in these. The last pic is of the healthier of the plants from above...the new growth looks solid, but the older growth is now starting to yellow as you can see. Again thank you all for the help

it could be that the soil yr useing is phed low for the plants and it put them into nut lock, but u did say yr run off is 6.8?whats the waters ph yr testing with

ok i would say yr best bet is transplant them to fresh soil [yr going to do that anyways] and just give them water see if that helps ,im no pro im in the same boat as u r just further along and have had the same problems but i read and read and learn and take in the good and leave the bs .is this yr first grow?

I've been thinking about transplanting...I have a bag of ocean forest and light warrior...thinking about doing a 2/3 mix and maybe that'll fix it.

First and foremost. You need to water and give them ferts. They look drier than a popcorn fart. The yellowing isn't "nute burn" it's N deficiency, I'd say. How do you water when you water? You should let it run right through. Also. Have you looked at the roots lately? They could be root bound. As far as size, they are very stunted. Hope this helps some.

I kinda doubt that they are bound...they arn't even close to the size of the pots. I did however remove one to transplant into FFOF and it was most def. not root bound. When I water I water until I get a bit of run-off and then that's it. I let it go for a day or two to dry out depending on where my RH is it takes less or more time. I water them when they are dry. I think the one to the left is def stunted a bit...for an unknown reason...the Ph is on the money, I dunno, but here is what i did as a trial run. 1 of them I nuted heavy with 6-4-4, one of them I transplanted into FFOF with some B-12, and one of them I left completely alone. Will post here in a couple of days and explain the results. Oh...and I agree that I thought origionally they were N deficient....what is strange is that its in Happy frog....I don't get how it could become N deficient in 2 weeks in a hot soil.

Alright I'm going back to my origional ....guess basicly lol. The more I read on this...the more I think that they're Mg deficient, everything going on with them points to that. The leaves are yellowing tips dying, but the veins are juicy lush green. I'm going to give them a couple of days since I already just added fert and transplanted one of them...after that if no improvment I'm going to try some epsom salt. Any input is appreciated though

Alright so it was def. Mg deficiency. I added epsom salt last night, and today about 20 hours later they have grown another 2 in. and look jungle green. Not sure why that happened...the only thing I can think of is myabe I put too much perlite in the mix and so the roots just wern't getting enough form the soil....that OR the happy frog bag was shitty. I dunno. Glad its fixed though
