Hey all this is my second year growing and I'm not to sure if my lady here is starting to flower. I don't know what strain she is as the seed is bag seed. Here are a couple pictures. Also i have added a picture of the whole plant. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

What kind of soil is that? My first piece of advice would be to get her in a bigger pot or in the ground. She is huge for that 5 gallon bucket. Some would continue in that and ive seen huge plants in a 5"x5" pot but itll be much easier if shes in a properly sized pot in good soil. Those that grow large plants in small pots need to know their nutes very well and water often. Looks great!!! If you have questions ask but i dont know where to start giving you advice. You're doing an amazing job.

Browning on the very tips of the leaves is the first sign of general nutrient deficiency, yellow on the very tips is the first sign of general nute burn

I see no signs shes in flowering. Your doing outdoor so itll probably start between now and sometime next month. Youll have to look up when it is for your area in particular. Its all based on the hours of dark they get per day which varies by area and time of year. Make sure shes not too close to a porch light!

Very pretty! That sure looks like a sativa leaning plant.
It is not usually a good idea to transplant after flowering started. I just did and it is always better to have a plant established in its last pot before flowering, but as said above, I think that plant is gonna get really big for that 5 gal pot. If you leave it in that pot might help to post your plans for fertilizing here for the guys who are good with ferts.

Hey all,

So to answer some of the questions and suggestions. The soil is miracle grow potting soil. Unfortunately I have to leave my lady in that bucket as I need to be able to move her around my yard for optimal sun light per day and don't really have the availability to plant it in the ground as I live in a town house with a tiny back yard. As to the fert schedule yesterday I have it a dose of 24-8-16 water soluble miracle grow. In a week I'm going to flush the plant. And in 2 weeks I was going to start on a 10-15-10 Schultz liquid plant food. And continue with the Schultz until 2 weeks before I harvest.

Thank you for the advise and suggestions everyone. Generally all that help in this forum puts my mind to ease that I'm doing the right things majority of the time.

Last year had 2 plants from bag seed got 9.5 oz off the 2 this year was the only lady I got. Hoping to get around 6 oz off this plant. Amy other suggestions or any other help would be great.

Thanks again in advance all.

Id suggest getting some better nutrients. The issue with your soil is that it may have too much nitrogen not allowing your plant to be flushed properly at the end of the grow. You may not want to up pot, or you could pot up into a lighter soil like fox farms ocean forest or happy frog or roots organic or something like that. Ive used miracle grow soil but only once mixed with ocean forest. Still very great results for vegging plants.

For flowering you want nutrients with more p and k than n. Early flower though your plants will still want plenty of n, more so during the initial stretch. I use tiger bloom once they really get into flowering which is 2-8-4 and supplement here and there with 0-50-30 beastie blooms, and 5-45-19 open sesame depending what theyre asking for. If they get an n deficiency before late flower i switch to 6-4-4 growbig until i feel ive solved the issue.

Its good to have some different ratio nutes around so if you see toxicity of one thing you have the option to exclude it from the feed while still giving the rest of what the plant needs. Sounds like your nutes might work fine so if you want to give them a shot just be very careful not to give too much. I usually go at 1/4 to 1/2 strength of whats recommended and see what the plants say cause the recommendations are always too high ime

Personally would prefer something with more phosphorous than that miracle grow soluble plant food has for veg. With that soil though you probably wont have to worry about any feeding until your in flowering. My 6-4-4 growbig is usually short on phosphorous for my vegging plants in that ratio.
