Need Some Help

So here's the situation that I've come across. First off, I just got a bunch of equipment from a buddy of mine, and with this stuff he gave me 3 of his last 3 plants in veg. The bad part is that these plants were pretty badly infested with spider mites. When I went to pick the plants up they were covered in webs pretty heavy in some areas. I got this stuff from general hydroponics I think its some kind of vegetable based insecticed that is supposed to be completley safe to use on consumable plants. I did an application tonight. My question is.. is there something else that I should do to prevent them from coming back. And also Do you think it will be possible to take clones from these plants and start fresh. All the help I can get would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I have also posted pics of the plants i'm sure there are some other things wrong with them also.

I've heard of 2 methods. One is to buy a shop vac and literally suck all webs & eggs off of plants. Litterally Put all Leaves & bud inside vac tube. They've said leaves get a little beat up but the buds will be ok. I know it sounds crazy but from what I hear it works. Another method is to heat them. Seen this on a gardening show once. Heat the entire plant and the radiation will kill all mites & eggs. Maybe the ladies Blow dryer will work. As I said I've never had to use either of these methods but they have worked for people.. Good luck !

Hey thanks for the quick reply! Yea that does sound crazy crazy nuts to use a shop vac.. I would think that it would be to powerful like it would rip the leaves right off the plant. But hey if these lil bastards come back around I may just have to try that.. As with the heat, you think hot water mixed with that pesticide shit I have would work... Cause when i mixed the shit up I used hot water. I guess I'll just have to wait and hopefully see nothing lol. Thanks again and +rep for the help!!

That youll have to wait and see. Lol .. But as for the heat method it did stress the plant a little but they recovered with no issues. I'd give that a try. Those leaves don't look like they're survive a sneeze let alone a shop vac.. Lol. But good luck! And I pray the Ganja Gods bless u!!

I dont think I would try to clone them. I would keep them under VEG light for awhile to see if they will recover. Your right when you said theri pretty bad, I have seen worse turn out very nice. Take advise from this sight IF many say the same thing. I started growing my self and had many problems at first. Asking questions is the best way to solve those problems. I never use chems, I use soapy water for small outbreaks. You had major outbreak and I have used Veg Garden "SEVEN" in very light doses indoors for ALL bug control.
