need some help

I want to start to grow but have a issue with how many plants to grow in a space with the dimensions of h8ft w3ft d2 1/2ft also would it be better with a 250hps or 400hps.

Depends on pot size, how much topping and training, etc. But I would target three plants in 3-5 gallon pots. I grow LED, but imagine 400 will be the way to go.

400 watt, no smaller! 600 would be better and no bigger!
2 plant limit.....3 gallon pots to start and as you learn about topping, LST, Suppercropping you would look to maybe moving up to the 5's.
But for now. Get some grows under your belt and simply do a good job and learn for the future.

Hmm.....look at bathroom vent fans for that size. Cheap for you and will do the job you need......Cooltube for the light will work for you too.....As far as any cooling needs. That will come from the outside the area in cool air in. AC the room it draws from if need be....
Odor,,,,,I don't, at my size,,, I can't......For you, any air pulled from the area will smell (duh). I might add a small activated charcoal filter if smell would be a problem. You will have to figure room size to fan size to filter size for your needs. My guess is you need to move 170cf a minute. Now you have to find a fan and a filter that will fit that need, I don't know that one off hand as fer if the bathroom fan would push that actually through a filter so.....These guys will help, call them, They are straight up quality people, who grow like we do.

You can put as much you want but you need root space so size of the pot for the roots have room to exspame

Wacth out what you plant in though for Autoflowering cant be transplanted so watch out what size pot for Autoflowering.

My tent isn't too much larger. Traditionally I would grow three of four but limitation but light. NOw I added a second LED and have seven. Three gallon pots.

I say that because I don't think a vent fan will do the trick and odor control is paramount IMHO. I would get a good fan intended for it. As for carrbon filter - PHRESH ones rock.
