Hi guys, i need your help. Today i found what look to be a hermie this is my first time spotting a hermi btw. I'm doing a sog method and i was just checking out my beauties which are in the 4th wk of flowering and when i spotted a weird branch that seem to be shotting upward. I then went over there and check out the plant, the bottom branch which shotted up seem to be growing very weird and sort of not putting on weight so i took a closer look and it looks like there are male ballz being produced, what got my confused was that the main stem seem to be ok and no male flower was found so i got scared and took down the whole tree instead of the one branch producing this weird thing. Sorry i have no pictures, my question for you guys are if 1 plant out of 40 became a hermie what are the chances of others turning hermie along with it? Will my whole crop hermie?

I am on a sog method with 4x4 rockwool im guessing its the danm heat problem that is causing this altho i dont think the temperature rose above 90. Before the crazy ass heat it was about 80 lights on and 70 lights off, but lately the heat probably caused the hermie. Thankyou friends i hope i didn't talk too much because im high and you guys lost interest in the thread because of these 2 long paragraphs.

you did the right thing by getting rid of it. Relax a bit. then work on getting the heat down. You won't know if it did any damage or not until you either see seeds or don't.

I agree. You also could have just isolated that "shoot" and cut it off. i have saved a plant by doing this and the rest remained all fem.
I bet the hermie was due to the heat.
