So I have a girl in the middle of flowering, more then 3 weeks now, and I believe I have somewhat over fertilized her. Her leaves are showing small nute burn all over the tips less at the top more in the middle and bottom, and leaves are turning in strange directions and some feel really soft, almost leathery. Anyway I use DWC and Im about to change my res water and wanted to know if I should continue to add nutes, but half strength instead of 3/4, or let the roots sit in plain un-nuted water for a day or two?

interesting question..sorry i don't have an answer..I use DWC myself but haven't had that problem. I know when i changed my reservoir during flower..i placed them into another reservoir with plain R/O (and air bubbluer of course)..while I cleaned my reservoir out..then placed them back into the reservoir and added my nutes..I guess it depends on what percentage strength you were using prior..good luck. Be eZe..Oh..I never use full strength..usually around 800-1000 ppm..Technaflora.

in dwc the roots are constantly getting nutes so the nute level does not need to be high. i never go above 600ppm.

Drain res and clean it, as in hot soap and water, than put in ph balanced water for at least five days no nutes and over water it. Dont drown it but let it flood at least five times a day for 20 minutes, than when the five days is up clean the res again, soap and water, than give her 25 percent nutes. Than run normal for a week than clean than 50 percent nutes than third week 75 etc to 100. During flower it is important to clean the res every week and dont just flush it clean the thing as if you were going to eat off the bottom of it.

And for the record follow the directions, not saying you are not, your grow, nitrogen should be very low at flower point and for the record I only use bloom nutes during flower unless I see a def and than add accordingly.

..I did read that...my first grow i didn't have the bluelab ppm meter..I do now though. Only on day 26 vegging and PPM is around 340...i was wondering if that was a bit low since my leaves are curling..but I just learned about cal/mag and r/o water (so last nite i added 2 more teaspns of magiCal to 13 gallon res)..got pH down from 6.3 to 5.8.. I wished I would have recognized these posts sooner....
I did the flush and changed my res, and let the roots sit in ph 5 water for about day and half, two days, and then added 1/4 strength nutes in my res...
anyways my buds seemed to slow down in growth, so I brought the nutes up slowly day by day, now im back to a little under 1/2 strength...
im starting to see resin alllllllllllll over the place, but the buds dont seem to be growing fast enough so i just boosted her to a little under 3/4 nute strength BC Bloom and boost...
I probably should have let her sit longer in the un-nuted water, but too late for that...
