alright guys i just got my seeds through the mail, i've got 6 seeds... 3 white widow and 3 AK48. There germinating right now and my question is, i've got about 8 feet bottom to top to work with. I want to maximize my yield for how much room i got to work with. how long would you veg these plants for if you had 8 feet to work with ? Or how tall would you grow the plants b4 throwing into flower.

so you got 6 seeds going. in a 8 ft tall room. whats the width? for seedling i would put a plant under cfl's until week 2. then switch them over to HPS. keep the hps atleast 3 ft away and bring down slowly untill plant can handle it till like 8" away if it doesn't get hot.. for how big you want to get your plants for the 400 watt hps, i would say maybe 8" tall max 10" before forced into flower.

Unless you got some good under light.. i would let them get to like 14" tall then flower.

and everything you should know air flow. mylar ect ect.

remember a plant grows 2-3x its size when forced to flower.

plants indica/sativa dominate? because if they are all indica dom id say you can vegge em to at least 2 feet cuz you only need the light to be 18 to 24 inches away from the canopy...at least thats what the instructions said with my light

white widow i believe is a hybrid and ak 48 is sativa.

the closes i keep my 600 watt hps to my plants without burning them is atleast 8" away. dont wanna waste light =D

i got about 6 feet by 3 1/2 feet width and about 8 feet height to work with, ya the widow is a hybrid and the AK48 is a hybrid too but its more predominantly indica around 65/35 i believe. So you guys think 10 inch is a good height b4 flower ? thanks

yeah just go where you think is best for your plants. remember the rule if your hand cant take the heat that close the flowers cant. just practice with the height you'll get it to where you need it =D i've always tried to put mine closer.

yup 10 inches would be on the safe side in my book...but thats definitely the best side to be on while getting the hang of things
