Need suggestions on how I should build my room from scratch

I just recieved my medicinal card and I just bought a house. I will be a care giver for 6 other patents and will be allowed to grow up to 72 plants at once. I have a heated pole barn and I want to build 2 rooms, one for veg and one for flowering. I will be using the lucas formula with an EBB & grow system

Any suggestions on what size I should build both rooms? Such as tips I should consider.


I'm willing to consider light rails also, but my cousin has the light rail 5 and 3 1000s on it but it seems like half the room is too dark when the lights are at the end of the rail.

Do you think the fans work better than the light rails?

How many lights should I use? I want to use all 1000s preferably

I plan on having climate control and have both rooms sealed with only an exhaust for the lights which would pull air from outside the room through the lights and then back out to save on CO2. Any suggestions on that set up?

What kind of insulation should I use on the room and should I put any kind of mud something to seal the edges of the drywall?

How should I set up the fans?

How should I set up where the CO2 generator, split A/C unit, and humidifer/de-humidifier should go?

First you need to decide how many plants you want to grow...?? I would also use 600W bulbs...they are actually just as good and more effecient than 1000W. Most growers prefer 600W. So how many plants you wanna grow dude?

eventually i will legally be able to grow 72 plants legally when my patients all get their cards. For now i will just do 12 in a spare room which i dont need any advice for i have exerience with small grows.

But i'm seeking advice on how i should go about building 2 seperate grow rooms in a heated pole barn. Such as basic stuff and tips i may not know. I'm planning on running 1000's in rows and pulling the air from outside the room through the lights and back out of the room. I want the rooms to be sealed cuz i want to use CO2. Don't have any experence in w/ CO2 so not sure what kind of generator i should use. I want the rooms completely sealed, but of course w/ doors.

One tip I heard and used Is instead of using Sheetrock for the ceiling use 3/8 or 1/2 plywood. It will allow you to place lights, Ballast, Fans, or anything else right where you want them. Some times it sucks having to look for a stud or a piece of strapping. Good Luck!

yea good call, but that could be dangerous hanging too heavy of equipment not sure how well plywood would hold. i might just put dry wall above the studs.
