I was always under the impression that a decent grower can get 1 gram per watt. Was that just last year?

Won't happen...I push 80 plants ea on two 3x8 flood tables. Ea table has 3 x 600w HPS lights.I run it as a perpetual SOG with a table harvested every month. The average on ea table (dried) is about 2.25 to 2.75 lbs per table, on several occasions I have gotten 3+ lbs off a table. And that is a sealed room , a controlled environment with co2-dehumidifer-a/c-proper nutes- no pests and a horseshoe nailed above the door. I probably have about 25 to 30 grow under my belt so I speak from experiance when I say what you want to achieve with the limited resourses and equiptment you have will be un-obtainable.Here is a pic of my grow
I'm trying to improve my setup as well, but I'm having trouble installing my horseshoe.
Do you nail it to the door like a "U" or like a "Ω"?

I was going to use 3 600 over 4x8 and 50 plts I will be good with 3 to 4 pounds and i just got my og kush beans 3 or 4 pigs of that will be a beautiful
The og kush isn't a big yielder always unless you have an excellent cut of it and lots of light. If you haven't bought your lights yet you might want to consider going with 2 1000w lights and two large reflectors like the magnum xxxl. They're so big that if you air cooled them good enough you would be about to get them 10-12" from your canopy and still have enough spread to cover both tables. The 8" magnum XXXL reflector measures 39"x30" so all of your plants get full light coverage. If you can use a dedicated 8" fan to run daisy chained to the reflectors and out of the room you will have a lot more controllable environment. That and keeping your ballasts out of the room will eliminate almost all heat.

You always point the 2 ends up ( U ) . If you turn it the other way the luck is supposed to fall out. But thats just an old wives tale. But every bit of luck helps....except for the poor ampute rabbits running around on all four nubs, I don't think they believe in luck.

You're going to get awesome spread with an adjust a wing too. I'm just a big fan of have as much of a controlled environment as possible and am always pushing air cooled. If you have enough access to cool air you'll be great with those reflectors.

Word. I don't want to be stepping all over my luck on the way into my grow room. Thanks for the help. I nailed my horseshoe up today. Although it's old, and most of the luck might have already spilled out... But I think hanging my lucky rabbits foot on one of the branches will make up for lost luck.

I was just reading your grow thread and I am a bit confused...you run a total of 6 lights or a total of three lights? I just got 6 600hps lights and am running SOG as well and just curious about more details. Thanks

I run 6 light...3 over each table.

Hi Cold me. I will answer your question. With 70 clones you will have to roughly get one ounce per clone. Two 600 watt lights can produce a maximum under general conditions with c02 roughly 2.6 pounds. But I will be the first to tell you that a gram per watt scenario is not exactly accurate. The problem with having 70 clones is that two 600's will not be enough to cover the space required to emit the lumens over the dispersant of the area that the plants remain. Unless you have one really long bulb or a really long hood, regardless of the metallic lining of the room, the plants simply wont fit under there with enough lumens for the plants to feed. You must also take into consideration the genetics of the plants you wish to grow, whether or not they are strong or not will affect how much flowers they produce. I suggest vegging them up to 8 inches before flowering. But what I really suggest doing is taking your 70 clones, vegging them out to 16 inches, flowering them under 4 600's, and giving them 3 times the area (8x12. This could generate you 6-8 pounds. but if you just want to stick to the 4 pound goal, I would suggest give them twice the area, (8 x 8), maybe hand water half of them if you have them in a hydroponic table, and distancing the plants perfectly for maximum lumen feed per plant. Oh yea, and nute the hell out of them in coco ;)

what a good strain to go with

Bubba kush, specifically pre98 bubba kush and many of the kushes, flower and are ready in 6-7 weeks when you are using hydroponics and using nutrients everyday as well as using C02. Some flower as fast as 40 days (trade secret)

ya'll will need more then luck, maybe start with all the right elements. bulbs and reflectors quality, growing medium and nutrients, strain or cut(mother) quality, temperature and c02 control, room size and sq feet per plant, veg and flowering time. When you start picking the right equipement and start mastering all the other aspects of grow environment then maybe you can expect to get lucky. but without having all of these in tune with each other you are dreaming....
