Need Trics help with purple sativa! Please help!

Does a purple sativa's trics turn purple instead of amber at harvest? or do they turn purple then amber? I have an amazing strain and I dont want to harvest at the wrong time! please help...rep up for any helpful input!

I dont think so, trichomes would always be the same colour, its clear then onto cloudy then on to amber. ;-)
 
I believe the purple reference is to the leave and general plant colour. The trich go cloudy and then amber .... good luck. Got so photos to share? Always interested in pics! Walk On!~ :bigjoint:

Some trichs actually turn purple, but it really depends on how purple your plant is. I would say that you should regard purple and amber trichs as ready, so once around 50% or whatever percent you want are purple/amber, harvest her.
 
I have a sativa, Wich is so purple it looks black...And I am saying whole top is black looking, AND LOADED WITH 30% beautiful purple trics, 20% clear, 50% cloudy. This is the prettiest I have seen..NO PHOTOS... BUT I WILL USE PURPLE TRICS TO TELL WHEN DONE.. AND I HAVE 30 plus yrs. exp..
 
i just discovered blue trichomes on a broken popcorn bud from a kc brasil plant that's been flowering 4 weeks. nice colas, haven't checked any of them other than this little branch. i will tomorrow when i bring them out for fresh air. the mrs varified that i wasn't loosing my mind, which has been gone a long time now anyway. anyone have blue trichs?
 
I have seen pictures of purple trichs, and I have had pink trichs. I consider the color to be "amber" when it changes like that.
 
I've only seen purple stigmas, purple (or anything other than amber) trichs would be really cool! what strains are you guys getting these colored trichs on?
