Negative ionizer for odor control?

So, for me odor control is a concern. I am using a growing box (very low scale, 2 plants only) and it is stored inside my wordrobe in my uni (high school i think). For me to do this without the smell raising alarm is a concern; i have been looking on the net for various ways to minimize/stop the odor. I grow Lowryder (cos its easy and requires little space) which has a low odor output anyway. I have seen the carbon filter guides but it all looks abit complicated. I am wondering if anyone uses an ionizer or regular air purifier/filter with any success?

Sweet!! Do you have it just in the area or directly by an exit vent from the grow room?

I bought a light bulg from my garden center that controls odor. I use it in my basement to control odors that may escape my growing room. It's about $40.00, but well worth it. Not only did it get rid of the plant odor, but it got rid of that mildewie basement smell.

it's right outside my grow room... near the end it cant do the job itself though, at least not fully well. you can make a REAL ghetto carbon filter for cheap. here's what i did that killed odor in my whole room from everything, im not reccomending this because it's probobly the most ghetto way out there.. but take a look at the attached pics, the fan on the inside blows the exhaust out through a tube, and in the end of the tube is all purpose carbon filtering, like you get from a pet store.

Looks pritty sweet to me!! If it kills the odor then cool, might look into making something similar. Thnx for the help

wow, that thing looks pritty cool for the price. Ya, when u get it going can ya report back on its effectivness, cheers.

yea, there is no reason it should not work as expected. It's exactly what I was looking for, and for less than $100 you can't beat it unless you want to make your own...
