neighbors calling cops to see my grow!

So yeah, i have my caregivers card in rhode island and am allowed 12 veg and 12 flower.

My neighbors smelled it out (week 6 flowering) came and asked me today if i was growing. Replyed with no. He said well cops will be here tmr to check everything out. This has me super nervous even though im legit. Thought about cutting them down right now just to be safe and have none here. I have 9 flowering and 12 in veg(8in tall). Just spent 700 on nutes today for my hydro setup and 900 for 2 12 site ebb n flows so all kinda depressing.

Any precaution to take before tmr comes? I took down my calendar with writing on it and deleting all my pics on computer. Throwing away me notebook with my writing and plans, all reciepts. Going to vacuum so no stuff on floor. This sucks...

dude, your legal, calm down.. not like the feds are coming, it's the local pd, you have a card, they will probably look over your card, check the grow and bounce...

My neighbor also emailed all the other people on the condo board about it... so wonder if i should stay where i am even after cops say its legal. Also, if i get any sort of arrest even if its droppable then my girlfriend is taking my 5month old and leaving. Wtf!!! Im STRESSING (not growing at home with them so she dont know, i bought it up one time as an idea an she flipped lol)

As long as its local cops and your legit i would meet them at the door with a smile.. Feds, different story.,

you're not getting arrested, you have a card, jesu, just make sure you're not over your limits..

it could be an issue with the condo board as most places have a no drug policy, even if you're legal.. why didn't you have a carbon filter?

As long as your card is up to date, and your numbers aren't too high, I wouldn't trip.

If you are indeed legal, that's a good start. it seems things are already set in motion, so clean everything up, make it look as professional as possible. It really sounds like you need a carbon filter to scrub the air, and you wouldnt have gotten into this situation. Either way, I'm not exactly sure what the cop's will be able to do, or if the guy was just trying to scare you. Hope the cop's dont show up, and if they do, they understand your rights under 'state' law. Best of luck to ya.

Well i started in a tent and just let them run, had no idea it would smell like this cause not that big... i was wayyyyy wrong. On jan 1st im going to have my flower room sealed with 2 carbon filters an co2. Was hoping to make it through this one for the extra money.

Are you on good terms (friends) with any members of the condo board? Maybe you could call one of them up, explain things sensibly, and ask the member to call your neighbor and tell him to chill. I am surprised that your neighbor had the nerve to confront you personally. Most people like that cower behind a cloak of anonymity.

Pay a lawyer to write your neighbors a letter with a copy to the condo association. Tell them you'll sue if you receive any further harassment. I think they'll leave you alone.

Coming from someone that has been busted before and still grow, as long as you are 100% legal you are fine. Both with what your growing as well as with where you are living. your local homeowners assoc. cant do anything unless it states in the agreement that you signed that they do not allow it. Even if they change it after the fact they cant boot you. and even if they were to notify the DEA your still LEGAL. esp. being you have less than the max. Say this inside your head to your neighbors, GET FUCKED.

Sounds like your neighbour is a right piece of shit. Maybe go and explain that you are growing, and that you are a care giver supporting someone who is unwell. That'l let you see how big a piece of shit they are.

So what happened? I don't think you'll have a problem. Writing the neighbor and the condo board via a lawyer could be a good idea. Under the law your employer and landlord aren't allowed to discriminate against you for participation in the program. I think they would be able to boot you from the condo though pursuant to the Homeowners Association Agreement. It might take them a while if you fought it, but I be they could win. They'll most likely have a clause in there regarding breaking laws and the right to boot you for such behavior. Since it is still illegal under federal law they'd have an argument that most likely would be held up in court, IMO. However, I'm real curious to hear about your experience. I heard of someone actually being able to recover seized medicine in Lincoln. Also, I heard a District Court judge give a lecture and he was speaking about how he might drop some criminal charges on a caregiver at a probable cause hearing because of the language of the statute. The statute allows possession of 4.5 dry cured medicine. Guy got busted with 8 oz. He got arrested and now his lawyer is making the argument that it was wet and still needed to be cured. Judge made some comments implying that the argument was getting traction with the judge. I have no clue how it turned out or if the judge was exaggerating for the lecture.I did read in the projo that there was an individual who was arrested for co-op growing (multiple licensed CGs in the same home) and some of them had some weapons. They were busted for possession, distribution, cultivation, and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. Judge Krause, a notoriously staunch judge who runs RI's "gun calendar" dropped the charges because he said the statute wasn't clear. Ok so story from start.... its a garage. Used above office space for 2 tents an smell got out of hand this past week bad. Good neighbor next door smelled it and conftonted me an said how he was fine with it an if legal shouldnt be an issue so i told him i was doing it an its well within legal limits and he said how he has a card also but waitin for it in mail. They said prob was people thought it was exhaust fumes from the cars lol idiots wayyy diff smell but ok. Hr later my door is open and i see 2 other neighbors leaving his garage. 10min later one comes inside garage an asks if im growing pot and cops would be here tmr to inspect everything... turns out they have been complaining about my "exhaust fumes" for couple weeks already.

If all goes ok tmr im curious to see how landlord (lives in ny) confronts me and what other neighbors will have to say.

Outlaw- someone in ri got pulled over for 5lbs of bud in car and he had a card an got out next day on PR (no payed bail) and is saying it was wet and not usable also lol. Ill let you know how that works for him. With ri courts he be inside court system for good 2 yrs being pleading out.

Another guy in providence had a neighbor call on him for smell an detective spent hr inside his place talking an let him pass with 3 extra plants if he pulled them in front of him.(grow store told me story today) supposidly if the plants under the 1gal container they count it as a clone or non existing plant and doesnt count towards the 12 veg rule which is cool to know.
