Nevergood's high power garden

At 10:00 pm I didn't feel like breaking into radioshack for 2 fuses. Maybe tonight though.
I am thinking each plant might be 3' wide and 7' tall in I use heavier reds the first 2 week. So that is 21 square feet per plant and I think I will run 3 COB's per plant @ around 125 watts each. That would put me under 20 watts per square foot. This run is going through the hottest time of the year, so I don't want to be over 2500 watts in lighting.
I've found that vertical plants will reward higher watts per square foot, similar to flatlander style. That said, I've spent years growing under very low light levels and still got good results.

IMG_20160705_010558885.jpg Been busy getting the room ready for the next test. The tray is 8' and the plants will have about 7' from the top of the 10 pots before they hit the ceiling. So 8' long with a 2' L at each side. I won't know if all 6 are going to be on this wall yet, I want them to root into the 10 gallon pots with coco. I thing I know I should of done better is water until good runoff. The last run I didn't/couldn't do that and I ended up burning the plants. This run I am under 800 ppm and will stay under that. I will be able to have things on timers this time and each pot will be watered from 3 sprayers.
I almost forgot, the best news of all, my minisplit is working fine now. I was finally ready to go thru the diagnostics and no code. Fingers crossed it keeps working.

@ttystikk Thanks, just following your lead. Got all my high red COB up and running just over 100 watts each for now. Will double the wattage after stretch, but still not quite ready to flower. Not sure about the other three plants yet. A little bit more cleaning and ready to flower. Last run is not dry yet.

Will you be doubling wattage by adding another row of COBs below the first? They really like their side lighting, it's what helps them fill the bottoms out so nice.

Yeah I will be doing 2 or 3 per plant. It will depend on what I have laying around. If the canopy is big enough, I will do 4 each. I am running low on extra stuff right now. The heat sinks have gotten held up by a super typhoon.

They'll keep growing, and stretch will help thicken them up.

Darn inconvenient, those super typhoons anyway.

Great news, the CLU058 3618 is the replacement for the CLU550. DO NOT buy the CLU550. It is still Gen 4. The whole CLU0X8 are still very new and expected to be better stock mid Aug, unless you preorder a large batch, like some here. Trimming the CRI test might start this weekend.

I have been wanting to play with one of these monsters for a while and one or two mysteriously appeared.:bigjoint: All the datasheets say one output, but now that I have one it has 2 outputs and a 5v out and 2 other wires I am not positive on what they are for. @JorgeGonzales , @Malocan , or anyone else that might know. I also thought is was funny how small the input wires were compare to the 2 sets of output wires.

Haven't used the 600W HLG, but RC wires are for remote on/off, 5vsb is for providing power to small electronics while it's powered off. Maybe sign controller/memory, stuff like that? Neat.

I think that's also the only Meanwell with 3-in-1 dimming that will turn itself off if you dim it all the way down, which is kind of cool.

could I use the 5VSB to power a cooling fan (use thermostat to turn fan on/off) ?

fuck yeah that's badass, didn't even know they had HLG 600's, pricing is competitive too considering the price of the HLG 320

I finally got the other 3 up and vegging in the flower room. I broke a couple branches and stripped a lot off the bottom. These 3 are going to get 5000K for the first 2 weeks and then switch to 4000K. I am not going to make the same mistakes on this OG. I will net it 4 times if needed. Still unsure on wattage for this 2'x4' tray. I have also added more panda to the wall.

Hi, all I can find here is the CLU056 3618, is this an older chip and do you know if it's any good?

The 058 is the 056's replacement. They are so new that the shelves are not yet stocked fully. I would wait for stock to build. It would be like using a CXA instead of a CXA.
