also wonder if purple maxx had anything to do with it.

great seeing you back on here. yours is truly amazing.
I'm no scientist... but I think it would reason that the Purple maxx did it. I know you only sprayed with it, but it is supposed to boost nute uptake... and maybe it does that even when you spray. And it could be that the SLH is feeling it becuase I beleive sativas are more sensitve than the other indica sativa hybrids.

I don't know if you are meaning me or chronic about our grow... but if you talking to me... Thanks!

yeah, it's totally crazy. the master kush and and white widow are perfectly fine... the slh is the only one swiping at me with her claws. she looks so angry.

yeah, talking about your grow. i don't post a lot there, but i'm def following along.

going to endorse it again in here, anyone reading this, check out his vertical grow. link in his signature.

haha yea jig deffinately you my only posted grow is from my first outdoor attempt
and if u checked it out as well thx NS
chronic, give yourself a little credit. i checked out your grow and for an outdoor lil hidden grow, it looked pretty damn good. i imagine outdoor growing to be so much incredibly more difficult than indoor hydro so props to you.

What's this we have here? A new look for RIU? A few things to update... where to start?

Well first, I changed the reservoir, using 20 ml per gallon of Bloom and 10 ml per gallon of Micro. Also still using Hygrozyme. All at about 1200 ppm, 5.8 pH. Going to go with full strength nutes for a few days and topping off with plain pH adjusted water.

I'm almost positive the claws on the Super Lemon Haze were caused by Purple Maxx. She was doing perfectly fine until this week, after I used Purple Maxx. She seems perfectly healthy, otherwise. I did some research and I'm almost positive the claws are from overfeeding. The leaves are a very dark green (in fact, some even look slightly purple-ish at certain angles). That with the curling seem to be the signs of too much nutes. So looks like a 500 ppm res is still too much for the SLH when using Purple Maxx.

On a positive note, the Master Kush and SLH are definitely producing a good amount of crystals. I'm not going to let what happened stop me. I will use it again early next week, then once more and then probably switching over to HCO's Gravity if things stay on schedule.

Also, I highly endorse HCO's Bushmaster to anyone who wants to speed up the flowering process. The MK and SLH are seriously at least a week further into flowering than the WW, which did not get Bushmaster. It will be interesting to see how much the potency is affected, though I'm hoping it will be minimized with the use of Purple Maxx.

Pics:
1. The three christmas trees
2. Master Kush
3. Super Lemon Haze (she looks like she has an attitude now)
4. White Widow

ya man looks like that slh has been gettin way to much nitrogen by the looks of those leaves... your proly right tho the purple max has somthin to do with that... i Guess back off with it for a while. ive been told that purple max can fry ur baby's so be careful with that. ima be tryin purplr maxx and snow storm soon as a foliar feed and cut back all the nutes to like nothing. i guess il find out if it works. bongsmilie

also if your foliar feeding during flower make sure u can control your humidity or find out what it is atleast, ive seen it lead to bud rot/mold issues

thanks hooked. the slh is looking a little better, check out my response below to bucket.

as for the price, they were $22 each at my local hydrostore, plus a 10% discount, so about $20. it might sound expensive, but they will last you a REALLY long time since you barely use any.

as for mold and rot, i'm definitely all over that. you should see my cabinet, there are a total of 3 fans (4 if you include the exhaust) so plenty of air movement. when i foliar feed, i also leave the doors to the cabinet open for a couple hours to allow for some of the moisture to escape. any other suggestions other than going out to buy a dehumidifier?

thanks bucket, i think you're right about the nitrogen. i need to change my nutes a little. after i changed the res on tuesday, the new leaves coming in def look a lot better, though they still are minimally clawing.

you've got the right idea about dropping your nutes down to near nothing. better safe than sorry. slowly build up your nutes after you figure out what they can handle w/ purple maxx. i'm about to do a second feeding in a few days.

Just about a month into flowering and the girls are doing well. The Master Kush will definitely be the first to harvest, she has some really beautiful bud.

The SLH is doing a lot better after the new change. Her main cola continues to grow taller... not stretching, but the actual bud is growing upwards. Good thing I left plenty of space when I used Bushmaster. Her new leaves coming in are a lot better than the others that clawed up, but they're still clawing very slightly.

The White Widow will definitely be the last to harvest. She is a good week or two behind the other two. But what's amazing about her is that even though she is behind in her flowering, she has a lot of crystals already. I can't wait to see how frosty she gets.

I'll throw some pics up soon.

A quick update... the girls are doing well. All three are starting to show crystals. The Super Lemon Haze's main cola continues to grow upwards, though the plant is not stretching. I actually had to pull the cola off to the side to avoid growing into the HID bulb.

I still have yet to do my second application of Purple Maxx and quite honestly, I'm scared to death to use it. I plan on doing the second application tomorrow. I will drop the ppm for the Master Kush and White Widow to around 500-600 ppm. I will drop the the SLH even more. I may or may not do a third application depending on how this one goes.

I'll try getting some pics up tomorrow.

Not much to update from yesterday. Will change the res and foliar feed with Purple Maxx tomorrow night, hopefully.

Took a bunch of pics tonight, check them out.

1 & 2 - All three girls from two different angles. As you can see, the topping to get four main colas didn't quite work out, but it's better that it didn't. The girls really filled out the cabinet.
3 - Master Kush's main cola
4 - MK's other flowers. She's going to be a good yield.
5 - Super Lemon Haze's main cola. She still has a lot of filling out to do, but you can see how large the main cola will be.
6 - SLH's other flowers
7 - White Widow and her two main colas
8 - Close of WW and her crystals

Never got around to changing the res tonight so no Purple Maxx either. While doing some daily maintenance on the girls, I realized that I was tying the SLH cola off to the wrong side. I was blocking the light from the HID bulb to most of the other SLH's buds. Retied the cola pulling it to the other side of the cabinet (and burned the shit out of my finger accidentally touching the bulb).

Took a couple new pics tonight. With the new way the SLH is tied, you get a lot better view of the cabinet.

A pic of the whole cabinet and another of the main SLH cola.
