nice set up i also have the same light and it works great for one plant i would recommend getting a second if your looking for a good yield, there only around $75 right, so why not? and while your at it you should really get rid of that aluminum foil and get your self a roll of mylar it makes a big difference just my opinion, but good luck with your grow man. ps get that light closer to the plant you dont want them stretching the way they are, it will make for a weak plant in the long. run 12 in. should be the farthest you should put it, mine is about 8 in. with good ventilation the temps stay at around 82 degrees... take a look at these pictures this was taken 6 days into veg with the 150 watter and the other is today which is 3 weeks

Bag, how big is the closet and what kind of fan is that? I am interested to know what the temps are like inside that closet with that set up.

Well, @Rata, Thats actually Mylar on the walls ;) , And They look weak rite now because i had them under a CFL bulb for 7 days from seed..But ill move the light closer, Thanks!

and @Douglas, The closet grow space is about 3x3x5 - The Exaust fan is a 50 CFM bathroom fan... I get fresh air from the subflooring of my house and the bad air gose into my attic.. Temps with light on keep at 26-27C Temps with light off around 24 ( running a 20/4 Cyc)

Hmm, This is week2 From Seed...Running just over a week of 150 Watt HPS...Heat is kinda High in my room..Temps hold at 30-31C and When lights are off they are 20C...MY plants dont look so great rite now, and seem to have stopped growing the last few days, Not to sure whats going on..If you look closely u can see some yellow leaves on the bottom 2 Starter leaves

dont worry about those yellowing leaves, i got that on all my 5 plants (3first and 2 more later)and it didnt do anything bad in the long run. also, i was about to write that a bathroom fan will never work good as i tried before with a 100cfm bathroom fan and the problem is it have no torque (dunno if you can say it like that lol im no fan pro). So yea i think for your temps you are pretty much screwed if you want to stay with that (maybe you can still return it, thats what i did). the droopy leaves can be over/underwatering or also because of the heat so if you can just open the door for 2hours straight and check the plant then and then check the soil or vice-versa.

my rule of thumb for my first grow was to "dont care much" and let nature do the work.

i like your setup bro. one thing though, the reflective sheet you have (mylar im guessing) could cause hot spots since its all wrinkled. You might want to stretch the mylar so it reflects evenly. as far as the yellow leaves go, are you feeding nutes? if no then you might want to start feeding her at a 1/4 strength. it looks like a nitrogen deficiency. i also grow with 150 hps but i normally veg vith a few 26w cfls and towards the last week and a half i add the 150hps to help with more lummens. i hope you dont mind but heres a couple of pics i have going on now (bluecheese fem Barneys) btw if its for personal stash then you will be happy with the results if everything goes right.....

420 236.jpg420 245.jpg this pic was from four days ago. since then ive added the 150hps in there so that she can grow more compact. im subscribed bro. im already strapped on for the ride woo hoo............

Doing good, like the guy above me said start with some nutes 1/4 strength. I also have this light over my dwc setup. Works pretty good if you ask me. Anyways, you should cover up those clear cups with a dark cup if you haven't already cuz the lights are gettin to the roots. I'm subscribed dude can't wait till some BUDS!! :weed:

Alrite, Insted of tossing in Nutes, I added them to some good soil with some starter nutes build in. The Clear cups were loosing the water to quickly so i transplanted them into the final growing pot. Soil is the MG Prem potting soil..Used the same stuff on my last grow and it turned out great (Except that it was male.) So thanks for the tips. Hopefully This will be good!

Had a big problem, Just left my plants for 2 days un attendend...Came home today to find one of them with all of its leafes completely drooped down and alot of the bottom ones were yellow, The 2nd plant was doing alright except for a few droopy leaves with Yellow discolour and some burns....

Problem solved. here is basically 24 hrs since i found the plants in rough shape. I Topped them and gave them alot of water, and BANG purked rite up and looking like nice little bushes

Plants have now starting with 2 new tops and bushy, One play that took the underwatering rite to heart is still a little off green, But both loook pretty good if i do say so myself.. Haveing a hard time getting them out of the mylar tent lol. This is day....Day 46 from seed, Going to flower on day 60.
