I totally appreciate all the info. I have a few grows under my belt soil/hydro & have used H&G along with there full line & never had a problem with it. I have never grown large plants in soilless media before thats why I am asking all the question I just feel better about doing it when I get as much info about growing in a way I never have. Sorry if I have come across as a complete noob lol. But your info is very appreciated & it has me feeling alot more comfortable moving forward

Hey Scooby Thanks for the wealth of info dude. I was totally going to build trays for the plants 6 plants per tray. I was thinking of putting 3 plants under each 1,000 watt light in a triangle form. I will listen to you & use 7 gallon pots. I dont mind using the additives just makes me feel better & I have had good results with H&G.

How long did you veg the plants you pulled 6 oz from & under what lights

Thank you again for your reponse & all the info. I will be keeping in touch. Dont know about pics bc I still live in a state where are rights are being raped, but I will not let them stop me lol
EXCELLENT POST!
Here's the other $0.02 cents worth...
Don't rule out light tracks. Hydro farm has a inexpensive light track. Their label 4' and a 6' version, that I personally use the 4 ft. version (6' wasn't yet out, am not a patient person) with a single 600W HPS that has a nice 6 ft. path, foot print. I run @ 3' centers with inexpensive 8 sided reflectors (also HF, their 6-pack about $25 each). I get great coverage and train my ladies to grow in a +/-270* pattern. Have 48 plants in a 13' X 13' X 8.5' room ( 8 rows of 1 light track and etc. for 6 plants). I get great coverage, the cost to run is cheap, they are hard to sync but it doesn't matter, and they are built for a low cost, so care must be taken when installing. IMHO, I believe they are worth the cost and time to install.

Hey Scooby I got a few questions for you.

I was scared to use the tea because I dont know & have never used it, but I was sucked in because of the money I can save not having to buy all those additives lol. Im going to use H&G Base Nuts Soil A&B & your tea suggestions

Heres my questions What tea blends do you use from the site you provided? How much of each do you mix in every batch? Do you just make it in 4 gallon batches or can it be done in bigger batches & stored? How many plants do 4 gallons feed Im guessing you dilute it right? How much tea mix will I need for a entire grow? Do I give them the tea thru-out the grow all the way to harvest?

Im guessing I still add the castings & lime to soil if Im using the tea right?

I remember you saying that you feed with Nuts then the tea then the nuts again then the tea & so on do you do a weekly flushing or not.

Im sorry for all the questions but I have never used any teas before. Like I said before just like to have the process down before starting anything. Thanks again bud

You could run Cutting Edge Solution. It is cheaper than other lineups and I have never used anything simpler. Save some money without a learning curve required. I don't even PH anything any more sense I started using it about 5 cycles ago. Just runs flawless. I have however now started to add a tea and Humic Acid in addition to the cutting edge and am testing the results. So far so good.

cutting edge solutions is actually more expensive than house and garden. h&g is also much more concentrated and one of the highest quality nutes around. plus they have basically no salts. that's pretty cheap.

From a quick look h&g looks a lot more expensive. I may just be to tired for math but it looks like it would cost more then twice as much to use the recommended dose of the base Soil A and B from h&g as it would to use the base line recommended usage from CES. Plus if the have basically no salts why do they recommend using a product (Drip Clean) to clear out salts with every feeding?

So far I have never had a problem with salt build up using CES. I believe this is do to using chelation in there manufacturing process but that is getting into the unknown realm for me.

i believe drip clean wa made to serve people using other nutrient brands or extremely heavy feeders. also, no matter what synthetic nutrients you use; if you are in a drip irrigation or hydroponic setup you will have salt and solids buildup over time.

i checked the prices on CES and H&G. basically CES was $65 for a gallon ($16.25 per liter) of base nutes and H&G was $75 for 5 liters of their soil base nutes ($15 per liter). i have a friend who ran CES and i can tell you that H&G is most likely 50% more concentrated. if not more. it's the most concentrated nutrient solution i've ever worked with. more so than AN.
