New 600w setup

So I'm looking at buying a new light so I have a couple question., I did search the forms but never really found all the answers I need

I have a 4x4x7 grow tent with 3 led hans panels and a cfl and a 4 inch carbon filter and fan combo that's 190cfms I was running a 400w hps that I borrowed from a buddy with just a shade and everything ran pretty good, didn't have any heat issues.

So now I want to put a 600 mh/hps in but I'm trying to decide between these two, one has just the hood and one is a cool hood

So Im guess I'm wondering if I need the one with the cool hood or just the plain hood
And if I do need the cool hood one I think the ducting for it is 6 inch , I would have to drop it down to 4 inch ducting to work with my fan, so would my 190cfm fan be enough to cool the light and circulate the air in my tent? Fuck just reading this is making me confused haha, any help would be appreciated thanks
 
I used to grow in a 2x3 with 600w cool tube I vented my light and filter on the 4 in inline fan it worked fine but I had central Ac in my spy do I kept it pretty cool too when the lights where on so it may work
 
I run a 4x4 set up now with 6in inline and glitt and some time have trouble keeping it cool when it's like 78 dagress in my house my tent will go up to like 80 81
 
I have used a 4x5x6 with a 1000w hps during summer with no a/c.

I had to use the lights at night and had 300cfm actively cooling my hood and 250cfm actively cooling my cab, the trick was pulling 70f air from outside at night and exhausting it back outside, since your planning on using a 600 i dont see much problems if you did it the same way... Its just a crap load of vents thats all
 
I have no way to pull air in from out side so I'm relying on my 4 inch fan to pull the hot air out, when I had my 400 running heat wasn't an issue.
I wanna order one of the lights I posted up top but I wanna order the right one, I don't want to spend the extra money on the cool hood one only to find out my fan can't handle it
But if my fan can handle it I'm assuming the the cool hood light would be better for heat management?
 
open reflector is the hottest, the hood is cooler than the open reflector, the cool tubes are coolest, the air is funneled past the light faster, in the hood the air has time to swirl around in the hood getting hotter before it gets sucked out. by the end of the day, your room with a reflector may be in the low 90s. the hood would be in the mid 80s, the tube would be in the low 80/upper 70s
 
The cool tube light is out of my price range so it's down to the hood or the cool hood, will a 4 inch fan be able to pull that much heat out of my room
The room is 112 cubic feet and the fan moves 190cfm, would it be even with spending the extra money on the cool hood or just got with just a light and shade

I agree that a cool tube will be a little more efficient. The cost difference on amazon is ~$13us. It really depends on your ambient temps as to what will work for you. What is the average temp in your basement? It may be common sense, but expect the 600 to raise the temps in your tent ~50% compared to a 400. If your temps rose 5 degrees with the 400, expect 8 with the 600. I would absolutely have to use an air cooled hood inside of a tent, but I live in a fairly warm climate. There will be those out there that have to run bare bulb just to keep their temps from going too low. Will 190cfm be enough to keep your light/tent cool enough? Again, comes down to the environment outside the tent.

Yeah right on thanks, my buddy is going to lend me 1000w and we're gonna do a test run with that to see what the temps get too
 
Beside the cool hood is there any other difference with these lights? Will the one with the cool hood put out the same amount of light ah the one that's not enclosed?
 
The glass will block about 10% of your light. The biggest reduction will be in uv. Ordinary glass absorbs 97 per cent of the UVB rays, and 37 per cent of the UVA. Our beloved plants will grow extremely well with this reduction and while I agree that bare bulb is best, it is usually impractical, if not impossible, in most grow tents.
 
Anyone ever use a 600w and led panels in a 4x4x7?
I have 3 led hans panels and if I put a 600w In it should almost get me up there to a 1000w and less heat, I probably should of mentioned before I vent my exhaust outside
