do the buds sorta lose their smell during the drying phase? they smelled sweet when harvested, then as they have been hangin for a day or so now the smell is sorta like grass, but if you squeeze it you smell the good stuff, is this part of the curing process?? or did i do something wrong?

Did you dry them quickly or slowly? If you dried them too quickly, you might have screwed them up. A good cure COULD get out most of that grassy smell, but the drying is so very important because once it's dry, you can't go back again.

mine are hanging too and they smell like they did before... like plants.. (not bud, but plants.)

Give it time, theyre still wet so what you smell is moist leaves and whatnot. When they dry up it should be a good dank smell :D

The Smell comes back during curing. Putting them into a container releases the inner moistures making the bud all smelly and sticky. If your just drying them right now your barley at the first phase.
