OK, got my camera magnifying thing in the mail today. I messed around with it, OMG....it took me a half hour just to figure out how to work it and see anything :-)

now, where am i supposed to be checking for trichs, and how? I put the thing up against her but it kept moving around. so i held the branch and tried. I touched my poor plant more tonight than I have in 3 months. I didnt like manipulating her so much. am I supposed to remove a leaf, or nug, and do it that way??

I just kept taking pictures over and over, and 2 seemed to come out ok.....by accident I may add!

and wow, my hand smells like weed :-)

Those are definitely trich's. I look right into the buds. Even though there are trich's on leaves, there are more on the buds.

If it has a movie mode, try that. You can play it back and find the frames in focus.

The place you want to look is the Calyx

If I'm not mistaken, that is the loupe for a smartphone. She could prob use movie mode but couldn't use any zoom function.

yes, nice idea. do a movie then get clips from it. i will try that tonight :-)

Signs of life! Little Gretchen my new Green o Matic has sprouted.
Helen the Hubbabubbasmelloscope (day 55) is getting buds like mad, and smells incredible!
Wilma my white widow (day 85) is getting close to kill day. Should I just be giving her water now and nothing else???

Busy mommy, starting to feel like the brady bunch here....

Opposing views over plain water- Flushing vs. feeding- I prefer flush-(plain water & just let them eat whats left in nutes( 2 weeks out).And I feel your pain on multiple plants & grows- have 4 within a week of finish,more @ 3 weeks and more as seedlings- hard to stay focused on individual needs of each stage( can we say MULTITASKING?)

Axle- are you the one that had Orb microscope- if so, can you capture pics without being hooked to computer(desktop upstairs, plants 2 floors down) then load to computer?

Speakin' o' questions for Axle, How do you like those drip rings? A gallon in a minute you say?

Thinking about getting some of the 6" rings and running hoses to a 3 gallon bucket with a valve for each. Gravity fed style. Or, actually, 1 valve and attaching the hose for the plant I intend to feed so I don't feed the wrong stuff to the wrong one. lol.. It's a bitch pulling plants out of my closet if they're big.

I have a $20 - 396gph pump. It pumps from a bucket on the floor up 4' and all 3x5gal pots get a gallon each in about a minute. I plan on using a res and a timer once they need daily feedings.

I am using a ring of tubing so they each get the same amount. Beware of nutes left in the line if you are using different strengths. You could run a line to each plant easily or run some clean water at the end of a feeding with ball valves on each plant.

If you are using organic nutes, you will prob want a good filter for gravity feed. The holes work great in my new rings with clean nutes but have been known to get blocked with large particles.

I'm ordering 4 as soon as I get home today. Decided that since my 2 gallon watering can will plug right into a 1/2" ID hose, I'll run a separate hose to each. Simplicity at it's finest. Also using Canna Coco nutes so I'm not really worried about blockage. If the 4 prove invaluable, I'll order more. lol

Noticed this morning that my T.H.Seeds Bubblegum Auto Fem is 100% all natural Male. Not a sign of flower anywhere, but a sac at each and every node. Yep, HE was the best looking plant I've grown to date. :wall:

Oh well. Starting a pair of Sweet Seeds Bloody Skunk. Gonna grow em in coco in soft pots and one of them is getting beheaded. For science! :bigjoint:

I tried growing a Quarter Pounder with Cheese but the Quarter Pounder didn't germ (yeah, I was sad). Now, I'm left with a whole lotta Cheese in a small space. lol

Minor experiments with the coco hempy auto Amnesia twins (Since I forgot I wanted to run air in just 1 of them). I've been picking all suckers/shoots from the bottom 25% of one AND supercropped her 2 weeks ago. They were almost identical plants before that. Supercropped, trimmed plant is currently 6-8" taller and her upper buds are already a bit denser than her sister. Bad pic but the front right plant is untouched. Supercropped's side branches are all taller than her sisters main. Also, the untouched plant has been getting Canna's supplements, supercropped has only received A+B and calmag+.
More "things you shouldn't do to autos". I may have to start an auto flower mythbusters thread. lol
