New Beginnings for Massachussetts and I

Got super high yesterday, always thinking of ways to improve my setup, hmmmm circular light mover? like a ceiling fan.....or maybe some type of carousel for the plants, then i started really thinkin, what if you took 6 cobs threw em on a triforce with a circular "rotating" light mover, what if those 6 cobs were all different kelvin temps, or have 3 different kelvin temps, would this even be viable? Be cool for a small grow, like a UFO, I guess some kind of circular chandelier would work too though, maybe one with multiple inner rings, did i mention i was high when i thought this up....lol
Each cob would be at each point of the triangle spaced evenly, could do like 2x 5k, 4k, 3k, or really whatever you wanted, just throwing out ideas

I had asked them in a thread a while back and one of the vendors said to use the 1050. I'm just thinking I won't hit 125 watts with that driver. the 1400 should get me closer to 150 if I have to push it.
Maybe I'll just go with the 1050 and 2 boards and be done. I don't have a friggin stadium to light.
According to Robin, my rig should be around 260w at full power with the 1050ma.

hit a few leaves, not too much damage but im pretty upset about it, also smoked a seedling that was supposed to be for a buddy....maybe itll make it idk, problem was i transplanted and didnt have big enough trays so i just put em back in the tent without trays underneath, no bueno
I used to vacuum the shit out of my mother plants. The underbrush would get so thick and then die off. I'd take the 3" shop vac tube and run it down each stem and through the canopy. They looked beat to shit but be fine the next day. Any damage just promoted more bushing.

Day 31 for Pineapple Kush- Changed res(on 3/8) addback 1 gal. + food for each today. Flipped to 12/12 after steady topping last few days( no shock-just steady growing and no def. or lockout, so all is on track. Still dealing with drying and curing last batch..

Looks good, Mom-nervewracking at 1st- I broke a few branches early- they get more flexible with height- the idea is to spread growth out and expose bottom nodes to more light. As you bend them, they will go right back towards light after day or so. Bondage time!

Like we talked about, I think I will move fan outside for more room (but i hate it outside, its louder!) and get ratchet straps for all my lights as I can see the writing on the wall. I have to figure something out as I hear hubbabubbasmelloscope can be a beast.

Ugh. Had to remove 3 males from my garden today. The other 5 are doing well, but the three biggest and the 2 smallest were the females. Bleh. On the plus side, I have temp control working very well in the 4x4.
3 out of 8 ain't so bad.. I just had to strangle a male of my veg tent showed sex super early prob a keeper for some but I'm not into pollen chucking yet...

YEahhhh, I know, but I really hate killing my babies... Also, these are random Nirvana genetics, so I don't know know what strain, so useless for breeding. Bleh. Though I'm clearly nowhere near the breeding stage yet, anyway. (Also, welcome back!)

The journey so far ... (Other newbies may find this helpful if they've survived the first 65 pages)
Glad I decided to do 2x4x5 veg tent instead of jumping right into a larger model. I think it's finally under control ... just added a variable speed 4" fan and filter yesterday ... suddenly the basement is odor free again ... but it sounds like there's a 747 revving in the corner even at low speed. The fan's screwed to a plywood board on the top of the tent, but there's no way I could have reasonably put it inside.

Accurite temp/humistats are bloody awful ... a fact that may escape you if you only have 1
If you're a DIYer I'll save you some time ... you can't find solid core #18 wire for you lights locally ... go right to Amazon.
Vivosun tents are a good inexpensive product for veg but you'll go broke on duct tape for flower. Glad I experimented, now I need to find something else for the 5x5 ... possibly the Mars .... Gorilla is just out of the budget until several successful grows or one of you would like to give me a late 70th birthday present.
Vivosun 4" fan/filter/duct kit works like a charm even on low, but I wouldn't want it in the living area. Can't imagine what the 6" will sound like, although I may be able to put it inside in the 5x5.
COB and Quantum board fixtures don't put out much heat at lower wattage if you're counting on them to keep things warm.
There are almost as many nutrient manufacturers as there are strains to grow and they all claim to be the best so caveat emptor. Do your research.
RO and distilled water still need to be ph checked and adjusted before use.
When you transplant 5 plants in a 2x4 space from 1 gal pots to 3 gal pots it changes the whole climate issue and you have to get all run go keep an eye on it crazy again for a few days until you see how things are working (I may be projecting here)
Too much of anything is just as bad as too little ... light, water, nutrients, humidity, temperature .....
Daily misting seems to make plants happy. Just knock off any big water drops so the lights don't burn the leaves.
They call this plant a weed but it seems pretty finicky about almost everything so be prepared to experience horticultural OCD.
Sometimes after obsessing over a potential problem, researching things on every forum you can find, comparing your plant to all the leaf deficiency charts, watching youtube videos, and seeing if there's a way to blame the Trump administration (my personal favorite) ... you have to accept the shit sometimes just happens and they'll probably get over it.
And lastly (for now) it's REALLY HARD to know you've got to wait another 2 - 3 months to find out if you did it right

If it doesn't come out right, it's definitely the Chump's fault.

Tri-light, veg + flower on a circular light mover, could be run on a single 300 watt driver at 1.4a, 12" on center itd be about about as full spectrum you can get from any setup imho, def my next light build if i can figure out how to hang it without tangling the power cord

I feel your pain bro. vivosun is what im running too, light leaks? no problem just use black silicon caulking, zipper leaks? reflective duct tape (or black) over the inside flaps, using a 6" fan with variable control for noise, because it'll pull more air without being on full power so its not as loud, but the power is there if you need to get some moisture or heat out of your tent, oversize your exhaust fan and turn the speed down, less noise the better IMO, just transplanted myself and everything is all out of wack again cause i left exhaust as is on low setting and it was 75% humidity in there by the time i checked it again.....your are very right about plants being finicky, complete pain in the asses sometimes a few ive had to watch like a hawk and still have problems, on a good note one showed signs of being female today though, couple little white pistils on the internode shes about 18" tall right now. flipping cycle very soon.... the rest really need to hurry up or im gonna have some more problems lol
