new carbon filters

so i ask riu have you seen or tried the new inline carbon filters for you glass on glass bongs? i just picked one up made by gear and it is amazing no more cleaning my bong the guy said you could drink the water it came out so clean i tested this and after smoking 6 bowls i emptyed my bong and holy shit the water was still clear as could be mistaked as tap water so i gaver a sip man was i amazed so i figure there must be more benefits to this other than a clean bong maybe someone can chime in about carbon and its filter abilities for health reasons if there are any:leaf:

Dude, this sounds interesting as fuck. Do you have a link to this product? I want to see what it looks like. I was Mr. Bong smoker for years, until i got my vaporizer, and i still love a good rip. I always gravitated towards the 2 chamber bongs, cause i love an ultra smooth rip. Nothing beats the Volcano, but i'd love to try this thing, too.

A friend of mine took a big shot of regular unfiltered bongwater one time. He was stoned and got to talking about something and thought the bong was a beer in his hand and drank out of it :lol:

i dont have a link to it i picked it up at my local heas shop its made by gear i did drink the water it was clear and tasted as if it was out of the tap really and weed dosent seem to be affected by it at all still just as strong as if i never had it

The only part I didn't really get was how the glass ball blocking the cervix of the filter (it's clearly for pussies) does not obstruct airflow. Glass ball in water blocking a hole with air being sucked in from the other side seems like it would get stuck there every time and not allow much, if any, air to pass through.

no its no different than a glass screen in a pipe and when u pull the bowl to rush the chamber the filter lifts off with the bowl it is very nice makes for smooth hits

its far different than a glass screen.... a carbon filter is scrubbing the vapor as it goes through...a screen merely stops plant matter from going through, BIG difference.

regardless I'd have to try this for myself to believe it's just the same but smoother than normal smoking...

What does it do for odor? I'm always paranoid, and that thing would really help with front room smoking.

yeah i was wondering if it filtered out the cannabinoids tooo... like pretty sure activated carbon scrubs like everything from the air? That's why it's soo good?

buy a vaporizer.. smell hangs in the air, once any new air comes in the smell goes out with it. virtually no tar so the smell doesn't stick to things.. just a very light smell that floats around in a sealed room, then just flushes out when you open the door :)

Damn, and I thought I was the only idiot that had ever done that. I put a beer down to hit a bong and was talking...I hit the bong and held on to it, witing for this guy to finish his long joke. Just as I was drinking from the bong, he stopped and started staring at me, I was confused for a second, until I nearly puked....
