new comer in need of help

ok so i smoke to help with sleep and depression sativa for night indica through the day i have no experience growing but look to get a small indoor grow tent and start cause the stress of making weekly visits and driving etc. i dont like the risk does anyone know some good seeds to start with and unfortunately i have to start this very soon so all help will be possible
 
Read, Read, Read and Read some more. Watch as many growing videos as you can. Start with some bagseed. Once your seeds are planted, leave them alone and they'll do their thing as they have forever. All you'll need to do is protect them from yourself and the many things that could go wrong (insects, mold, etc.). But most of all, have FUN! Growing is great for my depression as where I am we get much less light during the winter days and the grow lights really help me feel more energetic.
 
Hi, damn I love it when people use cannabis as a medicine because it really is. My first suggestion, if you dont know anything about strains then sites like leafly.com should help you out. You can even find strains based on the symptoms you want to get of. Have you seen grow tents at all? My last advice is "nobody will take your hand and show you everything you need to know" most of the growers here know what they know through experience and reading. However, it is up to you to think critically if any of these growers (including me) gives you advice. If you try to use a parachute for the first time and dont really know what you are doing then advice will probably get you killed anyways. OH and another advice, whenever you have questions about your own plants or setup POST PICTURES, if you do that then people will have a better understanding of how your environment is and can give you advice that adjusts more to you. having a place where just YOU can go and be alone and having it be a grow room is just all the better.. i have my "man cave" its just my grow tent.. NOBODY goes in there other then it being locked up lol, its my peace of mind. if you want to grow your own then start small like the previous post. start with a regular plant or if you have any experience in growing then i would suggest getting c-99 from female seeds.. its a very forgiving plant ,smells like fruit when growing and it flowers in just 55 days..just remember its for your sanity not to make u go insane worrying about it so just start small before spending a few grand trying to build a greenhouse full of weed.. i started with a gifted seed from a friend now i can produce a lb a month if i wanted to...i stick to personal for me and close family..makes great xmas gifts..

Very true, you probably dont want to end up with males (idk if you know this but males arent smokable and they will screw any other females you got in the room) because I dont think you want to do any breeding or any of that shit right now. Get some fem seeds that go with what you want. :bigjoint:

If my grow was my man cave then I would have to be inside my fakin closet all day haha!
 
lmao yeah i had to come out.lol no seriously i did the same thing,, started in my closet and just couldn't get a moments peace, oh i have 2 kids and 2 dogs and a wife in a 500sqf house. lmao no place to shit alone much less grow anything. so we built a shed for storage and i took half for myself.. i put a 5x5x7 tent in there and i am the only key holder also keeps family members out of my troubles.. but i spend a few hours a day in there so its my lil cave..i am disabled now so i am home 24/7 and needed a place with a get away feel, so when i get in there i strip down to my shorts(less chances of bugs) and throw on the sunglasses and enjoy the fruits of my labor in my 79 degree tent while its almost freezing outside.. so needless to say i like my sunny room more then the cold outside..ONE TIP = less is more.. the more you mess with them the more your chances are your going to screw something up.. so the less you do to them the more they will give back, the plant will tell you what it needs..just water ,love and care.. start with a good base also its like having a house on stilts if one goes so will the rest. so start with a good soil like happy frog or oceans frost.. the more prep work the less legg work.. oh one more thing.. PISS POOR PLANNING GETS PISS POOR RESULTS.. so plan ahead.. and HAVE FUN ..KEEP ON GROWIN

Well, a shed would probably occupy half my place haha. One day I will be there my friend, one day. :weed:
 
well let me just say this i plan on doing a hydroponics system 3 5 gallon drip buckets gonna get water pump and reservoir and air pump and rock i am looking into grow tents about 2 by 4 foot to go in closet or something in that range i have read that for lighting 400 watt hid should be good? and also going to use inline carbon filter for grow tent temps shoud be around 76 give or take some ph 130 i guess as a beginner should i just copy someone that had a setup like i plan on using till i get the hang of everything an develop my own little recipe

also thanks for the seed recommendations and for those of you in u.s. if you order your seeds online how do you receive them surely they dont put there label right on the front right???
 
Kinda odd, I've always found sativa's to be more uplifting and Indica's to be more sedate. Just goes to show different drugs effect different people different ways.
 
some more questions

what nutrients do you guys use in your water?
certain flow or drip rate for water?
i read light is 18 to 24 hours is this true if so does lighting stay same throughout entire grow?
is 76 F temps appropriae is their any change throughout the grow with temps?

also with the mat for the year i would need about 1700 grams is 3 pots realistic for this?
 
try some g13 pineapple express. its great. also try some of tga's seeds. they're top notch. good luck w/ your grow.
 
as long as they deliver to usa lol does anyone have a process for these specific seeds as lighting for vegetation then flowering same watering nutrients etc.

once again sorry i am completely new to gardening but i kinda dont have a choice and it is much appreciated not being flamed for my completely stupid noob q's

also i dont think tga will deliver to where im at i wasnt on their list anyway
