New container Idea for small grow rooms

Im new to the site and been planning an indoor grow. This site kicks ass and has given me so many ideas. My grow room is going to be only 2x2x4ft, so ive been reading trying to get ideas to save space in small grows. I came up with this lol.
Let me know if something like this will work.

Once the roots hit the bottom of the container will they grow outward along the bottom?

Seems like you might have drainage issues with a container like that

this is called spinout,... the roots grow and stretch when the plant has to search for water or is thirsty,... when growing in smaller containers such as 16 oz beer cups or cut off 2 liter bottles you have to pay more attention and water more often to keep this from happening, but a plant can be grown from start to finish in a 16 oz beer cup

OK thanks for advice, I was just trying to deal with the restricted height.

If you did do the entire grow from a small container like a solo cup, would it be better to foliar feed them, since roots will have stricted space.
Try limit the plants dependence on the roots as much as possible. Of course keeping the soil moist though.
