Thought I'd try my hand a DWC. All comments and help are welcome.

I'll have more information along, but this is what I've got so far:

3 Colman 5gal coolers. 5.5 inch net pots.
1 4-port pump, 1 2-port pump from Pet smart
A 5'' round air-stone and 6'' long air-stone in each cooler.
300w LED for veg.

I've got a few Killing Fields, and Jackberry's that I'm cracking atm.
This is my first grow via DWC, so any info will be appreciated:joint:

With the cooler and LED's you will never have to worry about high res temps..

Thats what I was hoping. I'm going to be running a 600w HPS in a tent in flower, but hopefully I'll still be able to keep it cool. You, FloGrow, and Weedler are all part of the reason that I went DWC this time. Hopefully it works out. Rep to you!

I received these clones rooted in peat pellets and transplanted into party cups full of soil. Had to carefully rinse the soil around them, which wasn't hard because they weren't rooted that well. I'm running General hydroponics Flora series, plus liquid cool bloom. I should get my tent in the mail sometime this week.
I plan on vegging these ladies for 3 weeks or maybe longer. I've never worked with this small of a plant count and it really sux. I've got a pack of Jackberry and a pack of Killing Fields from Sannies, as well as 5 Ak48, and 5 nypd that I really wanna drop, but I guess I just have to be patient.

Does anybody know where my water level should be in my coolers? Right now its probably about a 1/3 of the way up the peat pots.

Barely touching the pots with the bubbles skimming and poppin across the bottom too.

Very nice and congrats on joining the Deep Water Cooler Club !

And thanks for the compliment !
Glad we had a good effect on you.

Nice setup man!
You might wanna lower the water level, they look a lil over watered, or trim the edge of the leaves.
That will help with root stimulation, and allow extra water release.

Thanks Pwizzle. I've lowered the water level once last night and once just now. I think it may be right now.
Ph'd at 5.6-5.8 PPM's 250-270 Temp C' 20.0-20.2

They are still looking very droopy, I'm hoping I can get the water level right and they will take off. If anyone has anymore suggestions, let me know.

Looks good man, I'm sub'd. Ironically Im starting my first DWC as well. I have 3 the same size as yours, even the same droop lol. Maybe we have the same prob goin on idk. Anyways, good luck on your grow!:)

Thanks Growmomma, I pulled my net pots out of the reservoirs a couple hours ago thinking if they got some air they would be less droopy. I can't tell if its helping or not. My clones came to me rooted in potting soil, and I had to rinse them off. I'm sure that set them back a little. Hopefully mine and yours will perk up soon:?

Subed. I'm thinking about getting a tri-band led for veg / supplemental lighting. Watch your babies for bugs but I'm sure you knew that already. It's nothing against NM, it's just damed hard to keep pest free plants in a public setting.

I don't live in NM, but thanks for the warning. I've vegged many plants under my LED from HTG supply, and in comparison to MH, T5's, and HPS the. LED is better in my opinion. It keeps plant internodes really short with thick bushy plants. If I was to buy another LED I would probably go for a 3-5w per diode setup.

Just some stress from the change in medium and grow style.
Went from waiting to eat, and eating what it COULD to a steady and ample supply of nutes in a whole new environment basically.
They have to acclimate themselves and feel "secure".

true true.
can you lower the light any? Can't really tell from pics but it looks like 3 feet away from the plants.

It is about 2.5' away. The plants are still looking fucked. I cleaned and changed the res yesterday, but they weren't that dirty. I'll lower the light and see if that helps.
