HARVEST FRIDAY WOO!

My indica pheno NL x Skunk is just about done, 8th week is Friday exact and I've got about a 80% cloudy 20% amber at the moment. I expect the days till then, it might reach 70/30

I seriously just need something to smoke!

I'm going out of my mind spending what little $ I have on expensive (but worth it) bud.

Harvest Thursday/Friday depending on how I feel, flushing throughout the week.

I have a sativa pheno of the NL x Skunk that is literry oozing with resin. Trichomes errwhere all dayy errday

I seriously am so pumped. Thanks to everyone who's been here for my first real grow Appreciate ya being so patient, but you'll have to wait just a litttleeee bit longer

Expect some nice pictures during the end of the week. Harvest/Late Flowering.

Won't be too crazy though, around an oz tops I'm sure. Just one plant.

Either way I'm still giddy as hell

I've got a question. I can't really find a decent spot to dry this baby when the time comes. I thought about a closet with some clothes line/string, but all the closets I have are enclosed with almost co circulation of air. They're also pretty full.

Question is, I don't want mold to rape my first crop. I would like to dry it properly, but the closet thing might be iffy. Could I just throw them in my dresser drawer and keep the drawer cracked, flipping the buds errday?

so long as your not worried about the smell get yourself a cardboard box and some string put 4 or 5 holes in the box near the top and run the string through wallah got yourself a drying box.

haha nice! You must have the Bender syndrome. Less weed = Less functional haha.

mmm yea I like this idea, it's probably what I'll be doing. I'll throw a few extra holes, cause I don't have a spare fan.

if you only think your going to get an oz the drying will be easy. it would be hard to get an oz to mold by hanging it. It would have to be really high humidity...you could also just get a screen of some sort raise it up a bit and lay it on there. also dont water these next 3 days and it should help dry it out quicker.

I might just grab a window screen and wash it good, then throw it in a dark spot somewhere.

You guys think it would be ok to dry my bud in my shed?

This would promote faster and better drying through the cross breeze. Also, this is a little sketchy to me with the outdoor weather/mold/security, but we're pretty secluded. I would totally do this, but only if someone recommends.

Like I said, I might get more than an oz just on this guy, but he's only about 2.5 feet tall and dense as FUCK. I could flick the cola and it would literally "thud" and hurt my finger (ouch!)

Anyone know how much an oz looks like on a plant? I'm trying to make an estimate, but I like to keep the bar low. This prevents me getting disappointed at the final weight. I've heard of people going 12/12 from seed and still getting a good 40-50 grams dry with a 250W!

I'll hopefully post pics today with a cell phone if it comes to it .

I think it would be better inside you dont want your temps to get above 84 and you dont want it to be really humid which both could happen a lot easier in a shed. the box or screen would be find just make sure it has good airflow and its better if it doesn't get ton of light. for future grows you might want to think about a bud dryer if you plan on having a good amount of weed to dry at once and don't really have a space for it to hang here is a link to panheads dryer https://www.rollitup.org/grow-room-design-setup/62900-4-day-bud-dryer-40-a.html

mmmmm thank you very much! I might actually harvest this bad boy today, because it's just about 70/30 and I don't see much else happening in the next 3 days.

Plus I need to smoke. I'd much rather smoke some dried bud on friday/saturday, than harvest and wait till at least tuesday to toke.

I'm going to build a dry box soon and take pics.

Guess what today is? HARVEST DAY!

My 8 week indica was harvested today. Don't know the wet weight of the total plant, but the cola weighed in at just about 80 grams!

How much weight is this dry roughly?

I'll take pictures tomorrow or the next day with a NICE camera. Thanks again for all the support from everyone. Been a real help and a real joy posting on here.

assume a 20g bud. prob up or down a few grams, but who isnt happy with a nice nug like that lol. cant wait to see what it looks like. ive smoked this strain before and i thought it was pretty good.

Yea this is the NL x Skunk indica pheno. I've probably got another 10 grams of popcorn/side branches dry.

Pictures in the next day or so.

80 g wet id say your lookin at about an oz from the thing dry, but then again i never bother weighing wet lol

Shit smells MAD chlorophyll-y!

I know this is probably a good thing, but damn, I smoked my first sample today and I'm pretty stoned Just let some popcorn buds dry overnight.

I only needed to smoke half a blunt and I'm good I'm an everyday hardcore smoker too.

Only reason I put it out was the taste.. kind of like hay but dry enough to smoke.

I seriously don't have 1 jar in my house, so I'll have to run out in the next couple days for the cure. I definitely want these babies getting to their full potential.

All in all a good stone, seems to be mixed around 70 cloudy/30 amber. A little uneasy, anxious feeling type of high, but I'm sure that'll smooth out once the dry and cure is really done.

Its great smoking your own bud. I found that if you put in a jar to soon it will smell of hay and you can't get rid of the hay smell no matter how long you cure it. I also found if you try to quick dry it don't use any kind of heat coz that will make it smell of hay for sure, try putting in front of a fan and quick drying it with wind that was the best way i've done it but nothing beats hanging it up and being patient.

Looking foward to seeing some pics and hearing your final weight
