New grow box questions

I built a box that's 18"deep x 24" wide x 36" tall out of 3/4 mdf. It has one 4 in exhaust and one 4 in intake. I've got a s&p 100 fan and a 96 watt t-5 2ft 4 bulb mixed spectrum from htg. I tried the homemade carbon filter because the used one that came with my old fan blew carbon everywhere. It didn't work it didn't scrub the smell and blew even more carbon. I'm looking at a 4x12 from either phat or phresh. Which would be better? Also I want to upgrade my light to led. So far it's down to either a blackstar chrome 180 or a blu apollo 4. I'm leaning toward the chrome. Also if the temps in my box stay low do i have to run my exhaust or should i get a 4 in booster fan for fresh air? It will be used for autoflowers. The htg t-5 did really good on a blue himalaya diesel from short stuff for only 8,000 lumens. I want more power so led seems the way to go. Thanks.

your problem with the carbon filter .....head to any big fish store(petco/ rick's extoic fish) they sell carbon mats for water filter it is active carbon ......since it is a auto u can combine in a TiO2 coated light (fancey way to say stink cleaning cfl e26 socket normal light socket ) how to do the pad and all that is here ....it is near the end when he is completeing it that the filter pad comes into play then we bullshited


as for the tent 4x12 that is 2 diamentions and if u are why get a 4x4x6 or something or a 10x10x6 that short and long going to need multi intakes to keep cool ...........who are these names u said ..............the top tent maker is gorilla they are new ...Secert Jarden is the other top well knowen brand

as for more light is your t5 set up daisy chain....a socket on the side to allow u to plug anouther one into it

as for exhust and intake ...........YES VERY IMPORTANT do u feel and do well in a room with stale warm air ....this is the rule for air u figure out the volume of your area (w times h times d = volume) now devide that number by 5 u need a minal that amount of air exchange between the tent and outside .........(placing a carbon pad /scurbber on the line reduces the drawl out i use the rule 1/2 is lost do to the sucking needed).........if the tent is well built u can have the intake higher and force air to move out quicker but if any leaks on tent the smell excapes do to the posstive pressure

your box.........make this a controll box one plant soil/hydro no exps no tweaks ....the other plants in the tent number them and keep a written journal somewhere and u can figure it all out and still make sure u have personal (the controll)

and here is a experiment if u want ........that box u made u have skills instead of the mylar/panada film why not try lining it will mirror ( if i had the skill i would try it on mine )......leave the back with mylar but all the other sides .........they are tring to get the most reflective why not for a small space......i am going to try a rotating planter(spins once a min so all sides get light )

What I meant was what size led for my box. The apollo 4, 6, or 8.

The 4x12 was in reference to the carbon filter. I tried the homemade filters and almost got busted. I'd rather have piece of mind.

Mirror's would be a really good idea. But I am lazy and the mylar is cheaper!

if u like i know ebay ppl that sell a refillable carbon scrubbers ....4 in 6 in and 8 inch ......i love there design.....just need dust pads every 2 months and refill it once every every 12 months .........it is a 4 x12 is what i have here
