New Grow - Bubba Kush

Greetings Fellow Michiganders. Starting a new grow and thought I would keep tabs this time. So...here we go. 6 Bubba Kush clones from D-Town...looked kinda wimpy, but they were only $10 a piece. Started them under a 200 watt cfl for just a couple days. They started to look like they were overwatered and/or rootbound so I decided to just transplant them into 7 gallons of Pro Mix (green one w/ the bio-fungicide) with a few tea spoons of lime. After only a couple days they already look so much better. I don't have a MH bulb so they are vegging under hps. For nutes I'm using the Gen Hydro Line... the complete line for soil. I'm going to follow their feeding schedule as long as it keeps looking good. On the website you can adjust and then print if you want to tweek it a bit. Temps have been good...humidity never over 55%...temps never over 85. I do have a ph meter...so everything will be being ph'd before feeding the plants.....trying to think of what I forgot..hmmm. Well let's get to the pics eh? =)
Obove are the clones when I first picked them up....not too great, but what do you expect for 10 bucks right?..

Here they are with their new homes....looking much happier. Also pictured isa small bubble cloner that I made for under $20...not too shabby. Any comments are are appreciated...thanks for stopping by.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm a noob....so we will see how she goes. Thanks for checking them out. The pics were from yesterday and they look so much better today I'm thinking of snapping a few more. Cheers

Sweet! I really like this strain... really easy to grow... I have a bunch, heres a pic of my biggest bubba...

Wow....looks really nice and healthy!! How far along is she? Looks like she's gonna be nice and fat...love those fat girls =)

Amazing.....one day and they look so different.

It's a clone I took off my first bubba plant, and it was in flower when I took it... I took the cut 3 months ago, and now it's on week 3 of flowering after revegging it for a little over two months...

nice. I am going to top all 6 of these girls and then clone the tops. 2 months veg will do you good in the end!!

Yup, that's what I do, I hate the idea of throwing out a potential new awesome plant... Sometimes your grow just gets too big and too many tops, which isn't a bad thing.

I like to do the 8+week veggin', but may try to do some smaller plants down the road...

Ya....I can't do it..especially after watching it grow for a few weeks and then chopping her in half damn near..lol This is my second grow and I didn't top the first time...just wanted to get through it without killing em'. I think that I am going to veg for 2 more weeks...top them...then veg for another 4. I only have the one 600 watter so I don't want to lose on yield. I think that 6 weeks will do just fine though.....high hopes =)

I don't know how you guys can veg for so long.. You trying to pull 1lb per plant or what?

Well...I'm a total noob..lol so I want to get a lot off one harvest. Do you think 6-8 weeks is too long? If I can get 2-3 ounces off each plant I'll be happy...should get more though I would think.

Vegging for 2 months, you should get way more than 2-3 oz buddy. Depending on how good it's doing of course

Thanks for stopping by LostNug! Ya I will def. check it out...nice avatar..looks real nice for only 3 weeks in =) The guy I got these from said it was an 8 week flower strain..? Is this true to your knowledge? Thanks again

Right...lol I'm Planning on 6 weeks for mine. It may be sooner. I want them to be pretty decent size before I top them. So I was thinking...they are a week in (approx) and at the rate they are growing I'm planning on topping them next week. Then vegging them for another 3 at least...maybe. I'm going to be open about it. We'll see where we are. I think 6 for now though...I only have 1 600 watt light, so I guess I shouldn't go too huge.

On the veg time you'll have to play it week by week with the Bubba. It's pretty good bud but it's not really known to be a great yielder.

Ya...thanks for the heads up. I decided to give LST a try with these girls. I was going to top them, but I only have an 8 site cloner and I don't want to waste any potential tops =) I'm only going to take 5 cuttings because I just got a bean (White House - White Widow X White Rhino) from a buddy that I want to pop. Gotta stay within my limits. I took a few shots after starting the LST'ing. I didn't want to use string, so I used bamboo skewer's and some twist-ties that I had in the drawer. =) Thanks again all for stopping in and commenting. LST Day 1 - Day 7 Total

You have the makings for a nice grow there.
It's always nice to see young females (plants) bending over, and touching the ground.

Thanks for the kind words. I hope so...I'm a little nervous that the 600 watter isn't going to be enough down the stretch. We'll see...I do like how much less heat I get than with a 1000. I have it about 20 " above the plants...I'm wondering if I should lower it a bit.?
