New Grow Closet

Hi I recently just bought a house and decided to turn one of the extra rooms closets into a smaller grow room. The room is roughly 6.5' deep and 3' wide with a ceiling of roughly 7', shapped like a barn. At 5' high their are two wooden poles that should be able to support lights on them. The closet has 1 door that I`m blocking off using white plastic sheet. My plan was to try growing 5 plants using 1-2 flourecent lights and then 1 hpl light for vegi, flowering period. I want to hang the lights off the poles using a chain pulley so I can lower and raise the lights at will. The floor will be covered in black sheets to prevent leaking through.

I've got a few general questions that need to be answered before I go full bore into this. First off, are the lights going to be sufficient enough for 5 plants? Second the room is roughly 68-70 degrees right now during the winter. I know you're looking for 78 degrees, but with the lights will this be fine? And finally I`m looking at the nirvana seed bank for buy some seeds. Is my best bet to get 5 feminized seeds? Is it a 100% chance to get females? How safe is it buy seeds online? Allright I think that's all for right now, thanks for the help in advance.

hey dude, put black & white down on floor with white side up.
would put cfl lights in for 2 reasons,1st keeps heat easier to regulate plus 2nd & most important will get bigger yield.

also you'll need to get a air circulation goin ie; rvk fan for outake+carbon filter put on to eliminate the smells,plus need an intake fan as you dont want stagnent air as will slow growth etc...
yeh go for females they will be 100% females.
and finally buying seeds online is safe they dont arrive with a van with nirvana seeds writing on the side,lol, they'll be in a discreet package posted through your door,or depends where you get them ,maybe have too sign for them but not happened to me yet.

I read on here somewhere, that if you have the choice between a cpl or a hpl light the hpl is the better choice between the two, is that true?

Also will fans and a carbon filter be necessary between just 5 plants? Would the daily walk through be enough air flow to keep the plants fulfilled?

Sorry i keep saying hpl, I mean hps lights.

I went ahead and bought some items from HTGsupply.com. A 400watt HPS system and 2 8" fans. I already a two foot flourecent light fixture and tubes and all the cups, pots, sprayers and a timer. And I went ahead and bought 5 feminized wonderwoman seeds from nirvana seed bank. Now the hard part...waiting.
