hey man...looks great as always...you're doing a great job. I dunno about the nutes....I have flown by the seat of my pants...and maybe have limited the overall potential....I guess one get a better idea after they've done a bunch and seen a bunch....excellent work though!

nice grow. when you chopped they were 10wks old? know how much you had wet?

i hvae a few thai clones right now and i am thinking about trying your sideways approach just for the hell of it. at what point did you turn them sideways?

8.5 oz wet from 2 plants they were pushing 11 weeks into flower (not including 2 - 3 weeks of veg)

keep in mind.. these were only vegged for a few weeks and werent turned to their side in the very beginning of flowering, if it werent for this, i probably would have wound up with an ounce a plant wet, if you veg them for 8 weeks and turn them on their sides in early flower, you should wind up with monsters, this was just experimental, next time i am gonna try it with alot more veg time (i plan on vegging to 2.5 feet, which is slightly smaller than my grow space then putting it on its side day 1 of flower, all of the branches should shoot up and be huge.. i guess well see next time, once the rest of the plants finish im going to start vegging a new batch with the seeds i made, in the mean time, ill post pics of harvests and methods of curing

a couple more shots of the white widows, and seeds on the bottom of the bag, the ones that are shown in these pics are being dried slowly in paper bags, at 55% RH, and 65 F temps, their is a fan running in the room, but not directly on them and the bags are mostly sealed, i have never hung them up or do not plan to, im doing the full dry in there as long as it takes, to get the best possible taste/smell by slowly drying, i think it will take 7 - 10 days

heres the pics of the few buds of each the thai tanic and white widow i put in water cure, they have been in for a day so far, iused the water filled containers inside to hold the buds down and keep them from floating, since the buds loses all its flavor, i put small amounts of orange peel, vanilla extract, cinnamon, allspice, cloves and nutmeg to the mix to add a mild flavor after its water cured.. im gonna keep these under for 7 days, changing the water daily, then hang them to dry.. ill keep updates on this as well as the drying of the other plants..

i pulled a wet bud out and got some pics of that as well

i know theres not much info on this topic

last but not least, here are some pics of the smaller younger plants in flowering, only about 5 or 6 weeks to go on these, excuse the mess, it needs to be rearranged in their now after the larger plants left, now these will be able to get proper light

hey ralphiw i see you are curing in only paper bags as opposed to hanging them for a few days and then putting in the bag. is there a reason you are doing it in all paper? does it speed it up? help the taste? slow it down?

im only speaking about the properties of my drying room, every room is different.. i am about 70s in the days and 60s at night, with 45 - 55% rh, i find when i hang it, with direct air it dries too quick, and tastes shitter, in the paper bags it dries much slower (7-10 days as opposed to 3 days) and tastes, smells, and feels alot better.. i tested both and paper bags seem to work for me, but if your rh is too high and you have little ventilation, mold could form, so you gotta keep a good eye on them

Ralphie, I just harvested my first plant and hung it to dry with a fan underneath, not directly on it, to move the air and it dried in like 2.5 days or so. Granted it only produced 1/2 an ounce so there wasn't a lot to dry. I took it down and put it into a sealed mason jar for about 36 hours then let it breath for 10 minutes or so. I am breathing it each day.

After all that, do you think I will have a shitty tasting bud? My rh is right around 30% and temp is steady at 75.

Thanks man.

i dont wanna tell you your gonna have shitty tasting bud, maybe if you cure it long enough the smell will go away. but when i harvested my master kush, i only dried 2.5 days like you cause it was crisp as could be, once i put it in jars for a week, it never smelled better. I know curing for a long time will give a better taste, smell and smoother sweeter smoke, im just looking for best potency and good taste/smell, and i know if you dry it out good before curing, you will almost have that, then after putting it in jars for a week, potency will be at its best
