NEW GROW ROOM!!! 600W HPS flowering room complete build.

Hey im back after some time off with a brand new grow. im starting a journal as soon as i get things rolling with this new flower room.

i've almost got the flower room completed, but im out of materials. I need to pick up another roll of the reflectix insulation because i ran short about 4 sq ft. im going to pick up my tarp for the floor and another roll of reflectix tomorrow. im having a bit of trouble with light leaking in through the air conditioning unit so im going to have to find a way to fix that problem. should have it all sorted out by the end of the month. dimensions are apprx 6x8x8, the mother room is going against the wall adjacent to the seperation wall dimensions apprx 5x6-7x8 and a 450 cfm blower will be keeping the air flowing, some oscilating fans, finish the tarp floor, build the mother room, finish the door, check light seals, hang light, run ducting. i got a bit of work to keep me occupied. ill post back when some more is completed.

So far so good. It's going to be huge. How much is this costing you?

good idea, let me put together a little list of what i have bought this far with some pretty accurate prices in USD. and ill have that posted up with the next update. i have been a little busy because i have just now got my ingredients together for my soil concentrate mix so i have been side tracked getting my flowering soil mix together. i gotta wait at least a week or two to start anything once the soil is mixed to let my mychorizae get activated and for the dolomite to start working. anyways aside from that i should have an update with pics and all tonight or tomorrow.

the veg room. priorities first though, i gotta get some of these clones/ mothers flowering and make room for new stuff in the veg room. having difficulty uploading pics, will be back with an update soon

flower room is built, i just have to secure down the tarp liner for my floor hang up my light my concentrated flowering soil mix is mixed and soaking in the sun for at least 2 weeks right now. more than half my clones have taken root, with the rest to soon follow. all the larger plants are gonna be cloned at least once (to keep genetics around) before i transplant into the flowering mix and final 3 gal grow bags (check back for a link to my grow journal once i start that )

Looks terrific. Always interesting to see the details of a grow room construction. I have a similar report in the grow log in my sig.

5'x6' is a nice space. I wish I had that. You can run a lot more than 600W in a room like that. The ac is great to have. I put one in my closet. It was the only way to get reliable control of the temps on 600W even though the light is in air cooled hood.

i had to buy 10 more 2x2 boards, another box of screws, more black plastic sheeting, another roll of reflectix, door zipper, more velcro, and another tarp to finish the veg room. prolly bout another 100 bucks. some pix of room #2 construction

well i got some unexpected news, i may have to do some rewiring in the basement and splice into another circuit or run a new breaker/ wire and put new receptacles in the veg room because it scares me trying to run more than the A/C and light in that room. i really didnt want to have to do this. im not much of an electrician and im weary of people in my house working on my elctricity that i dont know....not to mention the fact that im going to look a bit suspicious asking them to do what needs done...... any ideas?

Damn those roots look effin good man.
Depending on where you live you could have different routes, maybe call local hydro-stores and see if they have anyone they trust to do it for you.
Or you can call local marijuana clinics and ask the same thing.

I use to do plumbing and construction a while back, and to be honest i've been on a lot worse jobs than me just wiring some shit up for someone to grow weed.
I'm sure even if you called out a company to do it, the guy would be totally chill about it, especially in this economy. Work is work.

im sure theres an electrician thread on this sie if you search mate......

im working on my electrical situation right now, in the mean time im only running the flower room to avoid overloading anything and tripping a breaker. it runs comfortable right now, ill update again when i get my electricity sorted out.
