thanks, I'm just excited to have a setup that should produce some decent bud. I decided to wait a few days to transplant clones and move everything around. I'll probably just post pics again next week.

So I was doing a little trimming in the flower room Tuesday and I accidentally cut one of the stems of a popcorn bud. It was way on the bottom of the plant and was a small bud, but I don't like to waste so I decided to dry it a couple days and then taste to see how it's coming along. So it's now Friday and dry enough to try (I quick dried the bud close to a heater) and I just smoked it about 10 minutes ago. All I can say is, wow this stuff is going to be incredible. I'm still probably 3 weeks minimum to harvest, this wasn't even a main stem branch, it was at the bottom of the plant, and I didn't even dry or cure at all. The taste was rather harsh (because of the quick dry), but I feel great. It has got an excellent body high.

I can't WAIT to see what this stuff is like after 3 more weeks and then drying and curing. It's going to be very hard to wait, but definitely worthwhile. I wish I had thought to take a picture of the bud... damn. I only took about 4-5 hits and I smoke pretty regularly, so this stuff is going to be potent. Ok sorry for the long-winded post, I'm just really excited for these plants now.

Plants are comin along. I'm guessing 2-3 more weeks until harvest for the big one, still another 4-6 weeks for the other 2. I've moved 2 more plants into my flowering room and also re-potted clones. My other mother got re-potted too, but her rootball pretty much broke in half during the transplant so I don't know if she's going to make it. If not, I'll probably just take a bunch more clones from her and let her go. Here's some pics of the clones in their new homes:

i thought you had gotten rid of the foil?! second pic looks like maybe some kind of burn like heat or nute or something. that big girl is lookin plump though! very healthy looking. sucks you lost your roots! how'd that happen? give her some time, i bet she'll be ok.

Nah, the foil is staying up until I redesign my grow boxes. And yeah, it was nute burn on that one plant. I was foliar feeding the plants, and I think my dosage was a bit too high. It looks worse in the pictures than it really is, and it has recovered really well and has some good looking bud sites.

As for the roots, when I was transferring, the root ball came out but as it did, the whole thing basically fell apart into 2 halves. I tried to plant it as best I could but now the whole plant is unstable in the soil and seems like it could almost fall out of the soil at any point. I'm hoping the roots will regrow and it will be ok because that is a really nice mother plant and I'd rather not lose it. It's about 3 months old now and very bushy. Time will tell.

First Plant Harvest: 12/26/11 -I ended up harvesting about a week earlier than I wanted, mainly because I needed to make room for my next plants. Still a decent result though.
wet weight: just over 3 oz.
dry weight: just over 1 oz, the bud was VERY dense
taste/smell: good smoke, first hit has that amazing "fresh" bud taste to it. Bud is a little lemony, but also has a VERY earthy taste and smell. In fact, until you break it apart the only thing you will smell is earth. Once broken, it has a very fresh weed smell, still somewhat grassy.

Good body high. VERY long-lasting. Sometimes I can stay high for 2-3 hours on a small bowl. I went and took a serious look in my flower room today and I'm really happy with what I'm seeing. I still have that tall, spindly, awful looking plant but it is going to yield a TON of bud. All the budsites have gotten a lot bigger and have a fair amount of trichomes. There is a problem however, the main cola of that plant is probably only a day or 2 from being ready, while the rest of the plant needs a lot more time. I think I'm just going to harvest the main stem first, wait a week or 2, then harvest the rest.

The other short and fat plant I've got in there is looking BEAUTIFUL. Although there was a fair amount of nute burn to the fan leaves, the bud itself looks fantastic. Some of lower buds are insanely frosty. All the trichs are still clear so it's got at least another week or 2. It's going to be a monster.

I'll upload some pics either later today or tomorrow.

sounds good dude. i've heard of that quite a bit to chop a main cola and let the bottom sites continue to mature. i think you should try it lol. i'll follow along. i'm jealous you've got some dank nug to chief on
