Hey all. Been a while since I made any posts...Been busy.. But I now have a new grow room setup pictured below.
IMG_20130712_091614.jpg I built a 7' x 7' x7' grow room. I am running a 1000 watt light over 12 four inch net pots in a circulating hydro system I built. I have a 6" vortex fan through a carbon filter I built myself. I'm using General. hydro grow nutes. I started 12 fem ww/big buhdda seeds and 3 girl scout cookies. Started the seeds 16 days ago. Only 11 popped through. But two of them stopped growing after the calyx leaves formed. I was gone the other day and my central air popped its circuit. I was gone for 48 hours and of course it was 90 degrees out both days. So I came home to a grow room that was 93 degrees. Needless to say my seedlings were struggling. One of the seedlings stopped growing and a few of the others had some leaves curl up. So I've been pampering them since then. I'm on my phone typing this so I will add more details and pics later. All comments welcome.

Impressive Navy. I will be sub'd on your first grow with the new setup.
Thanks prosp....I always appreciate your input.. Here are some more photos of the grow room i built in the spare bedroom.2026.jpg2016.jpg1760.jpg2007.jpg2018.jpg2012.jpg2022.jpg2008.jpg

Here are a few pics of my seedlings. They are just over 2 weeks old from dropping the seeds in the rockwool. I had 48 hours straight of temps above 90 degrees, so they struggled for a couple days. Im trying to keep them going. The new growth has been good so far so im hoping for the best. Here are some pics...2019.jpg2020.jpg2021.jpg

System looks nuclear Navy. Where the boxes come from and are they expensive? They look killer.

This looks like where you take people and we never hear from them again. I'm going to start calling you Dexter :bigjoint:

I had a few seedling issue on this grow as well, almost killed them. Keep at it and you will get them to come around. New systems always have issues that need to be worked out. At least you caught it in time to save a few.

Thanks man...Took me a minute to build and set up...But worth it to me. The boxes are just 10 gallon crates from menards. $4 apiece. I just cut out the holes for the net pots and added the eyelets on top to tie down the plants. Then i just drilled the holes for the air hose, and drainage, and viola.... The entire system cost me about $500 to build, light, ballast, hydro system, tent and all.

How many gallons runs through the system? Does it require a reservoir? I see your drain valve that leads to a yellow box. Do you pump the waste into there and flush? Just trying to get my head around how this system works, not really a hydro guy.

You are getting it. Its all together 80 gallons. 10 in each tub witha 20 gallon res. The yellow topped crate is the res. I have two circulating pumps coming out of the res. that are constantly pumping water back to the 6 crates. When the water reaches to the bottom of the net pots it drains out of the top pvc pipe to the res. When its time to change water, i simply turn off the pumps, open my drain valve, and the crates drain back to the res. until empty. I just use another pump to empty the res. as the system drains, then put in new water and nutes, and viola, my water is changed.

That's pretty awesome. 80 gallons! Damn that's a lot of water. I have a 70 gallon fresh water tank and it's a pain in the ass to change 20 gallons. Nice to have a system like that to make it easy.
