New Grow Set up - Advice needed and appreciated

Hi all, i am in the process of setting up a new grow room and need some advice. i have everything that i can but in the sea of information, im drowning!! i am thinking of a grow tent 5x5x7, 600w HPS and ebb and flow system. The problem im am running into is that i dont know if i should go with a 1000w or stay with a 600w due to heat and power consumption. are the yields that much better with a 1000w vs. 600w ? any advice is appreciated. thanks

5 X 5 = 25 square feet. My 600 watt bulb puts out 95,000 lumens. 95,000/25= 3,800 lumens per square foot. The 1000 watt bulb would average around 140,000 lumens. 140,000/25= 5600 lumens per square foot. You would like to be as close to 10,000 lumens per square foot as possible as this is what the sun does. Obviously you would like to factor little things like safety and such. Short answer is that you can grow some dank ass nugs with the 1000 watter, but you really have to take precautions with the heat emitted. The 600 watter would work as well, but your edges would not get much light at all. You could always split the tent, and put a 400 watter in there ( for veg) with a 600 watter (for flower) then you would have your 1000 watts but everything all rolled up into one.

Thanks for the input. right now i have a cool cab from sunlight sheds and it works - to some degree. its my fault that things have not went better. i run out of room long before the flower stage is finsished. right i still have about another weeks to go and they are already at the top of the cab - after having taken out the shelf for the clones. i just have to start flowering when they are MUCH smaller....to the tune of like 6-8 inches MAX!! On your ventilation what size fan do you use?? Also what kind of temps are you encountering with your 600w? i dont mind going with a 1000w just trying to head off problems before they get here with heat. thanks for the reply as well !!
