New grow. Shed your light!!!

I started with led bulbs and clamp lights and they worked.
Maybe more important than wattage is color temperature. 5000K is kinda no man’s land- neither blue enough, and of course not red enough.
6000k bulbs are tougher to find but there is a significant difference that our eyes can’t see, but plants need that bluer spectrum. And in flower, you will want 2700k or in that neighborhood. Some makers label their bulbs only warm, daylight, and bright. Avoid those called daylight. And maybe add an infrared bulb a few hours a day in flower but careful of the heat output.
Welcome to growing. Enjoy the process as much as the harvest!

It 100% works if you don't want the entire plant transitioning to flower.
I had to reply again, because I’m stunned that I didn’t think of that before. Me, the guy who surgically pollinates only one cola and wraps it in cheesecloth until harvest to get a hundred seeds or so?! “Me, who had the foresight to buy Polaroid at four and a half?!”

I’m always learning here in bits and pieces, but sir, that is an all pro tip of the highest order! You have forever changed how I will sex plants. Thank you

You're welcome. Just something I picked up along the lines of just countless hours of reading. We all learn something new every day right?

Quick update. Thanks to all advice! Im working my way up trying to take everything in. Im considering the bag method of sexing but i think only my larger plant would be ready for that. Threw a hangar light on but i haven't gotten a new bulb for it so it just has my last extra 65w 5000k led, which it seems is a tough light to work with. Ill definitely be investing in some 2700k for flower. They seem to be alright at the moment. There isnt much heat in the set up and good airflow. Im slowly but surely getting light to surround the plants. Im running out of space though which is hindering my ability to really play around with shaping and admittedly just staring at them haha. I know my setup is really, gor lack of a better word, ghetto, but hopefully once i figure out whats what in terms of male/female and focus on just a couple. For now im thinking if i can get the smaller ones to a good point for that singled out branch sexing then ill be able to get down to my end game plants. Heres some pics. I still have some concerns about curling for the smaller ones. Im still not sure what it could be. Id describe my center plants leaves like a ruffle chip. Not flat but almost ribbed at the veins. Strange. Ill see how it continues. Thoughts and suggestions always welcome! Thanks guys!

The wattage you've listed for these individual bulbs...
Is that the actual wattage used, or is it the "equivalent of an incandescent bulb" wattage listed on the box?
