I start low strength nutes in coco/perlite very early, within one week of the seeds germinating. I use a little cal-mag and water, ph'd to around 6 for about a week and then low strength base nutrients starting around week 2. Coco does not have any nutrients so you need to feed early.

Thanks for the info i recently got a ph tester and tested the coco is reading 7.8 my tap water is around 8 so now i need ph down. I woke up this morning and my plants leaves are half green half light yellow

Yeah they're not able to uptake nutes at that pH. Also 5ml per liter seems high. Start your nutes at a third the recommendation for new plants to avoid toxicity or lockout. Lockout can also occur if the pH level stays too high for too long. I'd recommend grabbing some sparkling water with natural flavorings like LaCroix or generic. This will have a few key nutrients like calcium and nitrogen to help the color restore. It has around 55 to 65 ppm's and a pH a 4.5 which will help lower your pH down without actually using pH down. The CO2 in sparkling water is super helpful in carrying nutrients directly to the root system for maximum uptake and it's also their air so they like it lol.

Thank you thank you learning alot its the ph stuff confusing the shit outta me i started at 1m per gallon of both i also got promix root booster but i hear bad thing about root boosters so i never used it its 5 15 5

What's the ingredients in the root booster? Some contain a very strong hormone that you have to be careful with not to overdue.

Make sure you get a ppm meter. This is absolutely essential so you know if your mix is too hot which will lead to so many problems. I got a cheap one with a ph meter on Amazon for 22 dollars.

Quick question do I need to soak seeds and Waite untill the white root pops out or can I through the fucker in the dirt and water it?

Yeah man that's mother nature's method. All these other methods are just what we as growers create to implement what's happening in nature

Make sure your soil is very very loose don't pack it down whatsoever. I use like a pencil or a pen and make a quarter inch deep hole. Drop the seed in and very lightly roll the soil back over to cover the seed. Water the soil and keep it moist which takes very little water to maintain.

CO2 cannot be utilized by the roots, roots respire oxygen like we do, CO2 is taken in via the stomata on plant leaves, so it can be converted into sugar the plant can use. Hence, CO2 supplementation is always in the air, not the water. CO2 in water acidifies it, so really its only use is as a pH balance. Also CO2 is not exactly reactive, so how it can serve as a transport for nutrients seems to elude me? (Maybe in nanobubbles, yes, but the chances of anyone here having that equipment is about 0.) Would you care to share some links on the topic? I would be interested in reading anything on it if you know of any good material.

K that's what I thought just making sure cause I bought some pretty expensive seeds so I don't want to screw up.I should of put them in paper towel to get the best results and more chance of them growing. But we will see what happens.. thanks
