Hey all.. Ive been lurking around for a while and this is my first post. I think im ready to start my first grow.
Im going to go the aero route. I have about a 4'x4' area in my room i can dedicate to a tent for growing. For now i was thinking about going with an 18 gallon roughneck with 6 sites seeing as i can legally have 6 mature plants. I was wondering if 18g is too small to take 6 plants to flowering.
The second question is on the lighting. How much lighting would be recommended? I would like to keep my costs down but i dont want to be cheap, i want to do it right. I was thinking of going with a 600watt mh/hps. Would that be good? would 400w be too little?
As i said earlier i have a 4x4 area. I want to eventually move onto sog, is that area big enough to expand into do a mini sog operation without modifying the tent much?
I want to grow into a tent and have seen many online, but im sure i can make one much cheaper. Realistically how hard would a good diy lightproof tent be to make with exhausts/intake and frame support? and how big of an exhaust fan should i get?
Any good recommended bllast/hood deals?
I really apreciate any and all help. Im going to continue reading to find more answers but id just like to hear everyones experiences. ill be sure to post pictures when i start building!
Ps. Any medical patients in la recommend a good place to get clones/recommended beginner strain
Edit: figured about 120cfm fan, still deciding on 400/600 but its looking like 600... And the more and more reading i do i hear more and more about how it shouldnt be done for the first grow.. what does everyone else think? i want to do hydro for the grow rate.
