5.jpgnutes.jpgbox.jpgHey all, popping my growers cherry here and trying to get some feedback and info from everyone.

For a little background, I got some pretty nice NYC green and to my surprise was loaded with seeds, but smoked real nice so I decided I'd dabble. So far the images shown are what I'm using (the soil is .85 .15 .10), the nutes are 10-10-10. The plants here are at about a week and a half and clearly I did something wrong with a couple of them..(I put a little pinch of nutes in each one)

I got them under a 24/7 CFL 6500k light (trying to get some nice lights soon), and a couple of them have curling leaves, which doesn't seem to be too good.

But when things start picking up, I built a 1.2'x1.2'x4' box (followed some how to's on how to make) ready for 2 or 3 females (If I get them).

Anyways, any good pointers on what I should do about these curling guys and any good future info. I should know would be greatly appreciated.

thanks a lot,

Are the curling ones the ones you added nuts to? Also how old are they now for soil I recommend fox farms ocean forest best one I've used so far what nuts are you using? I would say those babies don't look too bad just watch them and they will probably recover but can't be sure

I added nutes to all 5 of them, and I'm gunna take bigV's advice and just chill out on some nutes for a month or so.

But where can you get the fox farms ocean forest soil? I've heard a lot about it but want to know where to get it, I'm about to throw these kids in some grown up pots.

Any quality soil will do. Try to steer clear of Miracle Grow. I would wait about 3 weeks and then hit em with 1/4 strength nutes and go from there. Plants look great though for the most part.

This is a bit of a guess, but I had something similar once. I'm thinking it's too humid, take them out of the plastic container where the humid air would sit.
I found seedlings didnt like too much humidity at this stage. I even had mold which took two seedlings out of five. As soon as I reduced the humidity they took off.

A Basic guide to help out

Keep humidity at around 40-60% or there abouts. Less in flower cycle, 12/12. Or mold could occur

Have the light as close as you can without too much heat to the plant. If its hot on your hand then its hot on the plant

No nutes till 3 or four leaf sets. To be safe. Then start with a 1/4 does and building up slowly over days. Leave tips go yellow, back off the nutes

Ph around 6 to 7 foil soil grows, this is the water you give your plant. This can be very important if your tap water is too acidic or too alkaline. Check the ph of the water after adding any nutrients, it makes a big difference and a smoother, trouble free grow. Less problems.

You'll do great if you follow these simple ideas, good luck!

wow thanks a lot, + rep. i took them out of the humid dome/pot and things are looking better already after 2 days, 2 of em took off, but it might be to late for the other 3. trial and error is the best way to learn i guess..As long as I get one female I'll be happy with a 20% turnout on my first attempt.

Hey, thought I'd do a little update here to show how its all chugging along. :-P

Since the original post iv'e been doing some non-stop research and think I finally got a groove of some things haha.

turns out only one of the little guys wanted to live, and I must say, its looking good. Its short, bushy, and slow growing, giving me a lot of hope for a good looking female (should know in the next couple days of its sex, its been through a week of 18/6 and now a little more than a week of 12/12).

Since the post I fim'd the little fella, invested in all kinds of Botanicure (including the pro soil bloom and sweet "citrus"), and finished the box with all the nooks and crannys (got 6 6500k for veg and doing 3 6500k and 6 2700k for flower) and I must say I am quite pleased.

I have to say, RUI was a plant saver and I'm hooked! can't stay off this dagum site!
(sorry for the poor pics, no camera, only a phone :wall:)
