New Grower - Hello & Help!

I wanted to say hi to the community and thank you for having me!

My question is, what would be the best affordable hydroponic system to go with? I've heard of this site and it seems quite good however I'm not to sure if this bubbleponics is any good how long can I use it for I doubt I can use it for veg stage/flowering.

What should I do would I actually have to buy two different sets of hydroponics one for baby stage then the rest for veg/flowering?

I have lot's of room to grow in the basement, I'm willing to spend around $200-$400 at first as I'm a new grower I have some knowledge in growing and I'm always willing to learn, my friend is more experienced however.

Thinking of getting seeds from Amsterdam however is there any better place that you guys recommend?

I've heard that you can use those aero-gardens, you know, the ones in your kitchens... anyways but from what i saw on it, it has to be the deluxe version or it wont work. apparently they work stunningly to, anyway, research that. and if you like it, no thanks neccesary

Is that any good, have you tried it out? I'm actually looking for either soil or hydro I want something simple I'm guessing hydro would be best because it comes with nearly everything built in.

What kind of bulbs should I use to maximize growth and make it faster?

Where do you get milar, can you get that from Walmart or Home Depot and they won't ask any questions why I'll be buying it right?

Dude, you can build that tub for about $35 with parts from Walmart. There's a couple of tutorials on this board.
$400 budget is gonna be tight. You can get a 400W HPS for about $225 on Ebay.
There's also tutorials to make a carbon filter from parts at Lowes.
A 4in fan will run about $80-90 for a crappy loud one. A good one will be around $150.
If you have a good grow shop near you, you might find some stuff used for good prices.
Some 2'x4''s,some plastic and some GH 3part nutrients and you're in business.

I don't recommend that a brand new grower start with hydro. The learning curve can be steep. At least with soil, if you make a mistake, the soil acts like a buffer and you have time to reverse your mistake before it kills your plants. (flushing). Start a soil grow and while you learn the basics of caring for the plants, read up and learn about water farms. I think for a beginner, ebb and flow and Deep water culture farms are the easiest.

Serapis: Good advice. Soiless might even be better. Easy to overfeed in soil. Much easier to control in Promix.
