I have a cabinet that is about 2 Foot and 3 Inches Tall. 1 Foot 4 inche's wide. And Im looking to buy this Hydroponic system I saw at home depot.

I was wondering is this enough space to grow one plant with this bucket size. I can also stack two cabinets on top of each other to make it taller. Any idea's?
Also I was wondering about growing light's. Something I can buy at home depot Cheap but effective. And what nutrients do I use?

So basically my question's are.
1. Is this enough space for one plant to grow?
2. What cheap but affective light's can I use?
3. What nutrients can I use.

I will update this post with the progress I have made.

It pushing it mate, cos the pot, the resevior, and the light have all got to fit in that aswell. Also if ur using a HPS or a MH light u need some spacing between that and the plant due to the heat they put off, unless u are planning on using fluorescents, which i would not bother with due to the poor yields that everyone reports about. So I would say no. With your lighting question, high pressure sodium, and metal halide are the best allrounder for both begging and flowering. LED lighting are apparently better than both HPS and MH for begging but not as good for flowering, plus they are expensive. Personally having experience with both MH and HPS I would go with the MH. But that's a very argumentable subject, some would agree, some would disagree. Using any other light other than the three I mentioned are a waste of time due to them not having the right light spectrum. As for the nutes, its really up to you which you choose, everyone you speak to will tell you that the way they do it is best. I go with hydroponic certs, but its each to their own. Hope this helps

Okay well I can reduce the pot size for sure. I can also stack two cabinets to make the grow space taller. Will my width be any problem or is there anything I can do to fix that?

No it is not. Save your time and money. Plant height would be 15" approx at its highest. Your cabinet would be difficult to ventilate at best and a heating problem almost for sure. Not saying it can't be done but it won't by somebody at your level. Not at any affordable price that is.

Listen....first time grow? I say, go with what you got. Stack that other cabinet. That gives you 4 1/2 feet t work with. Get as many cfl's as you can safely fit and start growing. Believe me, its an awesome experience. Oh, and for a first timer, and to save space I would go with soil. Save hydro for later.

Okay then. I just measured my loft space. And it is 38" in Height. Width is not a problem. But is my height good enough for a one plant grow?

38" would be ok it leaves you with with 2ft of vertical space with DWC kit assembled, if you are trying to save $$$ then http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100686997&R=100686997#.UDCOE6A-cmQ will help in addition with some socket adapters and a few power strips. The link is 2700k which is best for flowering but can be used but i do suggest 6500k or a mixture of both. You should be able to get everything you need for lighting for $20 or less.

Forgot to add,you may wanna lst your plant and grow atleast two if you have horizontal space. Also id give each plant at least 100w of actual watts NOT the CFL EQUIVALENT

Okay so explain to me what light I should use for the start to the end? I also plan on using a 12/12 Light system. That will make it bud faster and more stocky correct?

You have to have it on 12/12 to make it flower, any more light than this than it won't bud. During vegetative state, keep the lights on 18/6 or 24/7, as soon as u want it to bud, then reduce to the 12/12 cycle. If u stack to other cabinet on top tthen its possible, for 1 plant only tho. Bro, trust me, don't go with the CFL's, they are ok for sprouting up until it u get a few nodes, but there is no comparison compared to a HPS or MH. Using CFLs to flower a plant and especially one of the size that u are gonna have, I can gaurentee u will get fuck all of a yield. Get a 150 watt HPS or MH, here in Aust. U can pick Em up for 100 bucks. Trust me, its worth the investment. With the heat factor, cut a hole in the side of the box using a jig saw and screw a fan to the hole, then make a smaller hole at the back of the box so the air getting pushed in can push the heat from the light out. It's definatly doable. If u decide to still stick with CFLs, you will find out exactly what I'm talkin about when u go to harvest

This grow is a test run. I will stick with CFL's for now. Im using some shit seed's from my dealer. I will be ordering decent seed's from Attitude once I get the first plant grown. Also Im looking to buy Feminzed seed's correct?

Yeah k bro, just don't have any high expectations. So if u are gonna go with CFLs get cool white globes for vegging, then warm white for flower. This is not essential but it does make a little difference. On the CFL box it will say it puts the brightness of 150 watt but really it consumes 20 watts. Don't be fooled thinking that this will do the job.. you will need a few of them because what you are after is the lumen output it gives, so the more lumens you can get in that cabinet, the better

Also I forgot to mention, don't fix the CFLs to the ceiling if the cabinet, u will have to attach some rope or daisy chain so u can adjust the hight of them as the plant gets taller, you want the CFLs only a couple of inches higher than the plant at all times or the plant will stretch. 1 inch between nodes is ideal. heat won't be an issue as long as the leaves don't come in contact with the globes. I'm not really a big fan of feminised seeds, they are not as vigorous and if they arnt bred from a good breeder, hermaphrodites can be a problem. I prefer just to get normal seeds, with optimal conditions when sprouting you can get 80% females.

Go for it bro...You can always upgrade your system later. Use the internet and do searches. Read books and forums, you'll find most of your answers there. Keep it simple and go up from there. Happy Growing!!!

buy some of these
http://www.acehardwareoutlet.com/productDetails.aspx?SKU=988060641

some of these 2700k (might be $1 each at your local ace hardware store at 2700k and 6500k)

a couple of these

Walmart may have all these items for cheaper.

You can do 12/12 from seed as i am doing right now,but i don't suggest it because you are using cfl's.
you should just 18/6 or 24/0 for 1-3 weeks if you want to have a good yeild and it does make it bud a week or so
faster but it will be shorter than normal if that is what you are aiming for.so yes stocky
