Hey guys, both plants (only one shown) have had or have this light green tint on the new growth. Im not giving any nuts. and watering a little bit usually every couple days just depending on how they're looking... Is this normal? Or is there some sort of slight deficiency? (The parts are circled in red that i am referring to)

For the burn circled in blue, i know its a nut. burn but its been about a week since i'v used any nuts at all... About how much longer will it take before i see a full recovery of those leaf tips (its on both leafs)

Also, im currently running x4 15W 6500K CFLs. Does it make a huge difference running a 15W as opposed to a 25W or so?

Thanks!!

Too young to show any real deficiencies, the leaves that are affected wont recover, the new growth will be where the improvement lies. And about your lighting, 15 watt CFLs are too small to grow MJ with IMO. Even if you had many, many 15 watt lights, what you will have is a lot of 15 watt lights. 20 x 15 watt CFLs are not 300 watts, but 15 watts spread around a larger area. If I were to grow using CFLs, the lowest wattage bulbs I would use would be the 42 watt ones. But some use the 30 watt bulbs, and supposedly do okay.

And at this stage, to answer your question, water is perfectly fine. What are you using for a growing medium?

Im using perlite (growing in a hempy bucket)

What do you think those light green splotches are from? Are they bad?

Well it isn't hard to narrow it down at this point, everything is simple. What's the water you are using? If I used my water at home the PH would be insane high. I will say one thing though, I don't like the perlite only plan, there is no water retention, you should use 1 part vermiculite to 1 part perlite. I am guessing this is your seed starting mix? I use 50/50 verm / perl for cloning, but prefer a medium that keeps them more stable after that.

Well my 2 biggest plants were started in jiffy pellets (the soil things) and i just planted those in the perlite; those 2 seem to be doing fine though. I did however play a couple of others in JUST the perlite after they popped and im beginning to thing that i should have used the pellets to start them again. What are your thoughts on this?

I use purified tap water at room temp. to water the plants. Tonight i watered them and before hand put an airstone in the increase the dissolved oxygen levels. I think this might be a PH problem like you suggest though... I really cant think of anything else it could be?

As far as the water retention in the perlite goes, with the hempy style im using there is a reservoir of water (2 inches tall) at the bottom of the bucket. I followed Japanfreak's guide on it;

Than you are probably fine with the perlite, my problem is, I don't know what a hempy bucket is. I would get a tester and check the ph of the water your using, so you at least know. That way you can eliminate that being the cause, or realize it is the cause. And yes, I would have used some sort of plug for the youn ones before placing in the medium.
