New growth on young plant pale and curling on edges??

These plants are only about 2 and a half weeks old and I'm growing them in some good soil, so I figured I'd have a little while before nutes were necessary. I've been watering every 2 days just about, whenever the soil looks dry and the pot is real light. I recently transplanted them before they were quite ready, and there was some root damage so I do if that could be contributing. Right now they're sitting about an inch and a half from 48watts of T5 lights.. Any advice would be appreciated I wanna get them fixed before it's a larger problem!

Alright so I'll feed them some nutes and hopefully see some improvements over the week? Or do I need to do something special for the lil lady?

I don't think its nitrogen. I think it is Mg.

It is rare to see N def in such a young plant. Not to mention, the issue appears to be affecting the new growth first. Different nutrients show deficiencies/toxicities in different parts of the plant. N shows up in older leaves first since it is a "mobile nutrient".

Mg deficiency is very common in indoor grows. Often accompanyied by a Ca def because of the differering mineral content of tap water by region.

I would bet that your water source is "soft" or that it is lacking in minerals (specifically Ca & Mg)

You need to get a cal-mag supplement like Botinicare's "cal-mag plus". Add 2.5mL/gal to every watering before you add your base nutrients. If you have a ppm meter, add cal mag until the water has a reading of around 150ppms. This will put it in line with more common city tap water and you'll fix the problem. You'll also avoid the Ca def that is going to show up in flowering....

Hmmm it actually use purified water bought by the gallon.. I thought I was doing the plants a favor but maybe they'd be better off with tap and whatever minerals would come with it?
