New Here

What's up guys. I am new here because I'm starting my first 'real' grow. I have done about 3 prior to this one always running into a non-plant/grow related issue forcing a stop. I am just doing 2 for personal. (Pineapple Skunk & Bubblegummer) I'm going to use 2x36" power compact HO t-5s for most if not all of the process. I'll be sticking to blues for seedlings and veg and switching to some nice magenta/red spectrum warm light flowering. I work at dive shop and have access to some cool flow restriction devices that I was considering hooking up to an old paintball CO2 tank to supply the grow area (closet) with a SMALL steady amount of CO2 for a more powerful veg cycle.( just an idea) Just wanted to get out there and let the community know what my plans are to see if anyone has any advice for me or anything like that. I am really interested to see what you guys have to say about HO T-5s. Thanks a bunch guys!

Greetings my friend and welcome to the best dang grow forum on the internet! The co2 tank idea is brilliant. Do you have access to co2 all the time? That would be awesome! Anyway I would suggest going with a 4 lamp t5 HO fixture if you want to have the greatest effect. The 2 light 36" is ok, but you really need more lumens. You can supplement the t5 with some CFL's and that will work, or add another 2 lamp fixture. I don't think you will be really happy unless you do. Good luck brother.

I do, you can get co2 fills at just about any store that carries paintball stuff...sports authority, the academy, dicks. Places like that. I'm glad you brought up those CFLs, originally it was gonna be more of a CFL grow withe the aquarium lights as a supplement. You think I should go back to that plan?
