New LED and new grow, gonna need some assistance here please.

Three Auto's in the 3 gallon fabric pots, two Critical XL and one Gelato. at 8 days since emergence.







Did not realize I got two in this cup.




In the 12 solo's there are Cookies and Cream regular's gifted to me. This was right before the squirrels decided to play with the cups, knocked all off the bucket, lost two plants.




Overall I got 10 C&C's sprouted and going to give the other two cups a couple more days. Going to leave them in the Solo's till I sex them in a few weeks then transplant them into one or two gallon fabric pot to cuttings for the winter grow.

I purchased an HLG Scorpion Diablo but have not set me new 5 x 5 Gorilla Grow tent up yet, still working in my shop getting it ready.

I know some of the questions I have now.
1. Distance from the lamp during veg and flower.
2. How much do you lower the intensity with the dimmer.
3. I know you don't do anything but LST to the Auto's but what else do I need to know about them.

Got my tent delivered and set up.
Damn, got to take it down, forgot to put the overflow tray in the bottom of the tent. So have to take it completely apart, put in the tray and reinstall the tent.

So got the tent right, got in to much of a hurry and forgot the drain tray.

So after redoing the tent I was ready to hang the new Scorpion Diablo, removed it from the box and I don't seem to have all the hanging hardware. Got two ratchets but only one hanger.
So I went ahead and hooked up one of my 315's till I can contact HLG and see what I need.

Current setup, have stand and drain tray in place, the extraction fan and filter.






The extraction air is vented to the outdoors via 6" ducting to an old AC spot, mounted a board over that old AC hole.

Plan is to veg the regulars while the Auto's are doing their thing and start them into flower early to find any males. Then take cuttings to try and get enough plants to either do a good SCrog or a SOG. I started 10 of the C&C's and my buddy has 5 of them, between the two of us we hope to get enough females to do what we want to do.

Got the irrigation setup and the tent in order.
Do you think two watering @2 minutes, 12 hours apart will do the trick?

The tote is 27 gallons, the pump is 3 gallon/min @ 55 lbs (have a 35 lb reducer).

so are you gonna do the autos under 12/12 ? Or let the others veg for 11 weeks before flipping. Not quit understanding your logics here. Maybe I will learn something.

Sorry for the confusion.
I will be growing the Auto's and veg under 24/7. In about two weeks I will put the regulars in my closet with a 315W CMH an go 12/12 till I sex them, once sexed the fems will go back to the tent under 24/7 till the Autos finish, then start flowering them. Will be taking cuttings from the regulars.
Hope that clears it up a bit. I may set up my old 4x4 and sex them there.

Yay, power back on, was down 5 days due to Hurricane Nick.
So I move the ladies from their backyard sunning area and got put them back in the tent and turned everything on.
Damn that lamp is at about 30% and it is bright. I really like my new fan and controller, a Cloudline T6, can set high/low temps and humidity. The fan speeds up or slows as necessary. Temps are maintaining well.

Yes Rocky, I upgraded to a new GGT 5x5.
GGT had about t two month backorder but finely received it.
Thinking of building a 54" round screen and do 5 to 6 plant SCrog. Will probably set them on a 40 plus inch Lazy Susan and place that on my roller stand that I used last grow.

Thank Buddy, yes I am really looking forward to growing in this tent.
This grow here is sort of an experiment, the three autos and the 5 regulars, wanting to check the temps/humidity, the closeness of the light and how the tent handles it all.

Weekly update!
9/18 Just after the power came back on.


9/25, Not seeing root growing from sides of pots yet.


10/2 Roots growing from both the sides and bottom of the pots, very active growth now.


The Auto Gelato is days ahead of the two Critical XL, which are just now showing their sex.
Under the new Scorpion Diablo the 5 regulars, on the right, seem to have Cal/Mag issues, but under regular light I don't see it. Have been misting them with Cal/Mag and Epson a few times a day.

Just increased the irrigation to 4 cycles per day at 25 sec's each from three cycles at 30 seconds. Have been getting low runoff and thinking that is where the issue is. Increasing the cycles and lowering the run times give me 100 total sec's per day instead of 90 sec's and will monitor the runoff. Will increase the run times by 5 seconds till I get the desired runoff.

Normally run lite runoff per each 24 gallon rez and when it's down to 2 +/- gallons at the end of a rez two to 3 gallons of straight RO is added, which lowers the ppm by 250 to 350. Then after pH'ing, 1 mins cycles are run with about a 10 minute lag time between cycles until the rez is empty. A gallon plus, of the water from the rez, is saved and at the end of flush the plants are hand watered with Great White. Trying to run GW through my irrigation plug the inline filters.

Wish I had some advice to offer, but I am still learning myself. This grow is tough dialing in because of mixing autos with photo periods and also using two different pots sizes.
I do like growing autos, and hope to find some high THC strains in autos.

Gelato Auto
Chopped on Friday, hung to dry. Sorry pic not the best. Two days and I have had to put them in a bag for 24 hrs to draw out the moisture, humidity low and drying way too fast. Will be going into jars probably on Tues. to begin cure.

Should chop the two Critical XXL Auto's within the next 10 days.

Did very little defo on these Auto's, and minute amount of under carriage removal.

Not too bad, 80 grams on that one plant dried and in jars. Will lose another 5 to 10 grams during cure but that will work.

Here the jars are being "Burped" for the first time!
Jars on the left are 28 grams each and the one on the right is 24 grams/

Going to harvest one of the Critical XXL's today and one on Friday or Saturday.

Everything in jars, the Gelato is ready to smoke and the two Critical are in the curing mode.
First to be harvested was the Gelato. Just under three zips.



Second one was the Critical XXL #1, three zips and 18 grams.



Last one harvested was the Critical XXL, 4 grams over 6 zips.

So all in all the total for this Auto grow 13 zips, can live with that. If the quality of the two Critical XLL's are close to the Gelato then I will be a happy camper. I have smoke one joint of the Gelato and it is a keeper.

Now to concentrate on the 5 Cookies and Cream, all females that I just put into flower yesterday.

Today the plants were pulled from the tent and retied down. They are in full stretch mode, 8 inches since the start of 12/12, 11 days ago. Most of the stretch has occurred in the past 5 days.
Here it was the last time I tied it down on day 4 of 12/12.


Then two days later on day 6


Day 8


And today, after tie down, day 11


I also raised the lamp about 6 inches to 26 inches and increased the intensity to 9 from 8.
