That's the new light I'm getting today it's a 400 w and I know hps is good for veg state and budding but could I just use this 400 w hps on veg and use it in 12/12 to flower ? Or would it be better to but a MH conversion bulb for the veging stage and go to the hps for flowering ? Also I was gonna go buy diff nutes maybe foxfarm
Grow BIg and tiger bloom or big bLoom for flowering ? Any experience Im using hydroponics for a few plants but also plan on doing soil for 2 or 3 to see myself which is better... Any help would be appreciated

You can use the hps bulb thru the plants whole life. It is recommended to give more blue light in veg to keep the plant compact with nodes closer together but you can still veg with a hps with good results.

I've heard good things about fox farms Nutes but me myself I use an g- m- b and jacks classic it's been good fir me.

Youre fine with hps in veg. MH does keep them more compact, but its not really important. Tiger and Big bloom for flowering, Grow big and Big bloom for veg. Feed at 1/4 strength though. I didnt like FF for hydro, and you have to get the hydro version of Grow big also. Many here like Dyna-Gro for hydro. Ive liked my soil plants the best, but hydro gives you a bigger yeild and tons of things can go wrong when youre learning. GL

I plan on doing soil also and the switchable one? Do u mean what I said there is an option at htg supply that I can buy a MH 400 conversion bulb with it should I get the for veg stage do u think it would be better for my plants bushiness and stuff? And ya so I don't use the big bloom or tiger bloom until I go to 12/12 right ? And hmm I'll read up on hydro nutes I figured it might not matter between hydro and soil... But ya about the MH conversion bulb ...
