Holy smokes, after going over the tech sheet behind this light, I'm going to have to try these when they become available. So far, the only downside I actually see is the fact the spectral graph is pretty flat, and the bulb does seem to offer just slightly worse output maintenance than traditional HIDs, but that's understandable since it's all in a small package.
I'd bet the second generation of this type of lighting would kick serious ass.

Basically it's microwaved metal halides instead of arc-light metal halide, gives higher output at lower power.
If only they could cut down the green emissions and refocus that into red and blue, this would be an awesome light.
