Hey, so im knee deep in my first indoor grow (completed first outdoor grow last year) and so far I am very please with it. Take a look at what I've got and please feel free to give me any advice deemed necessary.
I am using all feminized Blackjack seeds from nirvana, a fan cooled 400w HPS about 2.5ft away, and Fox Farm soil in 8in pots. Temperature vary from 78-90 throughout the day and as you can see I have two CO2 yeast bottles going at all times.
As of today they are all 1 week 4 days old, with their last watering at 1 week old when they were transferred to their new/main pots. It may be hard to tell from the pictures but the bottom most set of leaves on all the plants seem to be turning from their deep dark green to an almost light green/yellow. The topmost/newest leaves seem to look fine, but I am under the impression that they should not need any nutes until at least 1 month old (especially with fox farm soil). Is this cause for concern or just a normal phase? Anything I should dbl check on?
There also seems to be a runt in the litter that I saved it from near death ... easy to see in the pics. Her shell never detached to let the leaves unfurl even though it was about an inch tall. so at a week old I had to pry the dry casing off and sorta open the leaves that were mangled together and when I checked her roots. the bottom half had also rotted off. So i gingerly placed her back in the soil, and lo and behold after a few days of nothing ( i assume re-root growth) she is definitely growing again now and looking fine.
Also, I have an extra 3ft, 2-bulb housing 100w white florescents, should I turn these on for the plants as well + the HPS? Or just save my money and turn em on when I plan on cloning in the future. Thxs for the input, im already amazed at how quickly these girls are growing! Especially compared to their outdoor brethren.
